Sorry, I'm a bit new to these forums so i'm not sure if im breaking the rules if I post this thread. Sorry if I do. I have made some remixes for some beatles songs, stereo of course. I am just looking for some feedback. Here is a link to a .wav file I put on dropbox. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/84005442/beatlespreview1.wav The first song you hear is "Thank you girl" remixed and remastered by me. After that the same clip plays again, except it is the original stereo song. The second song is "You like me too much" remixed and remastered. Again, after that is the original.
So when I listened to it, the second one sounded full, and balanced. Your mix sounded centered in the stereo field, and lacks bottom end substantially (or at least the punchyness). Sounds like you boosted the upper frequencies a lot too.
Original mix honestly sounds better, sorry.
If anything, maybe the original could use a TINY amount of reverb, and balance the instruments on the stereo field for headphone use. But that's my preference. Otherwise, the original sounds fine to me.
