I am sad that I won't be able to see the project through, as it is a terrific script and I was very much looking forward to working with my friend, Hugh Jackman, again." Stated Twentieth Century Fox: “While we are of course disappointed that Darren can’t do ‘The Wolverine’, we also understand and respect his reasons. Having done both ‘The Wrestler’ and ‘Black Swan’ with Darren, we know he is an extraordinary talent and we look forward to working with him on other projects in the future. Hugh Jackman and Fox both remain fully committed to making ‘The Wolverine’.* We will regroup and move forward aggressively.”
Pissed, I wonder if this will mean that the Deadpool movie gets made quicker though.
why do they keep milking wolverine, he's been the star of 4 x-men movies now.
God dammit
Wolverine was the shit in the 90's. You know who's the shit now? Deadpool, you know what we got in the movie as "deadpool"? FUCKING BARAKA
I feel like I'm way more upset about this than I really should be.
Welp there goes any hope I had for a good standalone wolverine movie
Well, not we wait to see who FOX is going to hire.
why do they keep milking wolverine, he's been the star of 4 x-men movies now.
Not that I disagree with the notion, but... Would you go to to see Cyclops: the movie? lol
I for one vote for Deadpool movie
http://www.beyondhollywood.com/what-is-the-real-reason-darren-aronofsky-quit-wolverine/ Yeah sure it's a 'secret inside source' story which are usually bullshit but I find it hard to believe this wasn't an issue. Basically he wanted total control over the film like Nolan has over the Batman movies, and fox wouldn't give it to him. This is Fox we're talking about after all, the thought of Aronofsky having total control over a fox action film sequel seemed rather unlikely to me. This movie could've been wonderful.
I'll assume Aronofsky is working on something bigger, to leave this.
Not that I disagree with the notion, but... Would you go to to see Cyclops: the movie? lol
woops since when was cyclops and wolverine the only 2 important x-men. i'd rather watch a movie based around angel or colossus.
Or Emma Frost :buddy:
why do they keep milking wolverine, he's been the star of 4 x-men movies now.
A main point of the marvel universe is multiple realities/stories. There are so many comic wolverine time lines, why can't he get a few movies.
He is working on Black Swan 2: Electric Boogaloo.
A main point of the marvel universe is multiple realities/stories. There are so many comic wolverine time lines, why can't he get a few movies.
probably because wolverine isn't the most important x-men out of the x-men.
Not that I disagree with the notion, but... Would you go to to see Cyclops: the movie? lol
Considering that the Phoenix saga originally focused around Cyclops and Jean, yes. I would watch a Phoenix saga movie that wasn't derailed into the Sniktbub Spotlight Show. [editline]12:11[/editline] Hell, I'd rather have a movie about Magneto. Or Gambit. Or Nightcrawler, Angel, Apocalypse... Just someone who is not Wolverine. I am Wolverined the fuck out.
probably because wolverine isn't the most important x-men out of the x-men.
Bitch please Wolverine is the X man.
Well at least we won't have this:
Aronofsky doing an action film? Hm, that would be strange. But seeing as how I've only seen his trippy or weird movies like Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, and the Fountain. My opinion may be biased.
