I didn't know there were trampoline olympics
I will forever see Lisa Simpsons giving head to Bart in that logo. [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] seriously, how high do you have to be to make a logo like this..How higher do you have to be to actually pick it?
Global event! Worlds biggest car park!

So, what's the appeal of things like the olympics for those of you who enjoy it? I'm not criticising, I'm just honestly asking because I don't quite understand what's so great about watching people run around and/or compete.
The torch is coming through my town tomorrow, definitely will go see it!
What do the different colors mean?
What do the different colors mean?
On the schedule? Makes it easier to look across and not get mixed up with other events.
Time to watch some gymnastics
Looks like a shit hole.
Looks like a shit hole.
It could have been in New York.
I hope that that building doesn't go the way of the Millennium Dome.
My dad was in the olympics. He was a pitcher for the Australian baseball team in the 1988 Seoul games :v: Too bad they sucked.
My dad worked to Build some of the venues for the olympics. They only finshed working there a few weeks ago. Seems quite badly organised.

I'm actually looking forward to the Olympics, I've been to young to appreciate it properly in the past (I was 12 during the last Olympics) so I'm looking forward to watching the volleyball!

Same as you though, it is nice to feel a little more involved with it all, since it's in the country I live in.
Going to be a big disappointment. Can see the viewing tower from my house. Its a mess.
i'm not looking forward to the fact that public transport in london is going to grind to a halt. the tube is unreliable enough without loads of people coming over for the olympics.

The giant red thing next to the stadium kinda looks like they're making The Marker from dead space
I'm working at the London Olympics in the Olympic Park in a few weeks, currently in London finishing up my training and getting my uniform. I'll be at the Opening Ceremony tech rehearsal on the 23rd, i'll let you guys know how it is!
only watching for womens beach volleyball. couldn't get tickets to go watch the actual olympic games, but get to see the second semi final in the olympic football, at old trafford, better than nothing
I'm not really bothered since it's in London. Also the torch is passing through a nearby park so I might go and catch that.

I know the athletes are not allowed to touch social media at all but I know that if you are going to be dealing with that shit, you are going to be sworn to like 15 different types of secrecy.

No NDA's etc.

China shall dominate.
Is it going to be boring or what then
No, i'm really excited about it actually, parts of it are really amazingly well organised, others not so much. Will update after first day on the job!
