Since I don't play the drums, I thought to fool around with your head a little bit. :)
I know this is a cover obviously, but the beat & synth have a [I]really[/I] amazing isolated ambient sound to them that I've only heard [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufgpCJxDDIg"]once before[/URL].
I should point out though that vocals sound too separated from the track. Perhaps they need filtering a bit, but I think the main issue is the reverb. The "room size" is too small I think, it's hard to connect the vocals to the track if you know what I mean.
I made the drum track before even considering doing the cover, but glad you like it. The trouble with doing a cover of a pop song is accuracy and I just ain't too good with that. :(
