what are your personal favorite VST's to use, and what DAW do you like to you use ? this is for any genre of electronic music. i personally use reason. FL studio, and ableton live. my 3 go to VST's are NI massive for wobbles/ lead synth's, NI fm8 for growls and heavy EDM basslines, and albino 3 for any Dn'B/ old school dubstep wubs. i love FL's piano roll, reasons combinator, and abletons mixing capabilities
Lazerblade, Massive, maestro, synthedit (homemade ones)
I use Cubase 5 with a selection of NI instruments including B4 and Battery 3 and Gforce Instruments such as ImpoScar2, Minimonsta, and M-Tron Pro, and I use Lounge Lizard for my Rhodes. Also I have Sylenth and it's pretty phat but I never really use it for anything
I use Logic Pro. Komplete is awesome. FM8 is superb, along with Battery 3. (Both are included in Komplete) I don't really like much about Logic. I prefer the way FL Studio does a lot of stuff, but it's what I am trained with. Komplete has (mostly) everything you'll ever need. Logic has a good selection of synths (it's modeling synth is awesome). Magical8bit does everything I need in terms of classic 8bit waveforms (square/pulse, triangle, noise).
I use FL Studio. I personally like the default VSTs (Poizone, Sawer, DX10 etc.). Lately I've been experimenting with a crappy modular VST called Kamioooka. If I had the money, I would get an analog modular synth.
