What do you guys think?
Steve King is a bad person.
I just noticed the thread in SH about Steve King. I don't think this video was posted there, but if a mod wants to close this, feel free.
I think you should stop making bait posts/threads.

I'm tired of getting accused of this. What the fuck exactly constitutes "bait"? I'm one of the only conservative posters on this forum who actually sticks around to debate and defend my ideas. If posting conservative content is considered "bait" on here then somebody please tell me. But as far as I'm concerned I'm doing nothing wrong.
I will second that Pantz does actually have a tendency to stick around and debate his ideas. I don't think I've seen him once bait, and I both appreciate and respect his civility when it comes to these discussions, and how open he is to having them.
I fundamentally disagree with him on pretty much everything he says, when it comes to politics, but he is civil with discussing his ideas. I believe he has every right to share his ideas here.
All of that being said, I think Lambeth summed up my thoughts on the topic at hand.

You're fine. I appreciate all types of political discussion, helps me to stay exposed to current issues, regardless of the spectrum.
I wouldn't worry too much about someone criticizing your threads who was the author of such amazing hits as "Strange things you've eaten" and "Rank your senses". Let's also never forget the fruitful and nourishing discussion over at "What's your vocal range?".
Resistance is typically what destroys a ""civilization"" (awful word to use to refer to a modern nation tbh). Trying to fight against the ebb and flow of societal changes has fucked over a lot of countries throughout history whereas our ability to adapt to changes and communicate is what has arguable kept western nations at the top of the food chain for so long. And with that being said I technically agree with him?
It doesn't matter what ethnicity or culture comes into the country and they (and if not them, then their children) are likely to adopt the US's language and values based on the fact that this is now their new environment.
So then what is he afraid of? What compelled him to make a statement, especially one so aggressive? Why does he believe that there will be no assimilation or that our country's language or values will change? With the rate that people immigrate into the country now, it isn't really possible for there to be some kind of fucken cultural takeover, especially because immigrant and 2nd generation children are usually quicker to adopt their environment's culture than they are to adopt their ""native"" culture.
I think Tucker managed to get one decent question in when he asked about the racial component of what King said, but other than that it was a pretty soft interview.
As for what was said, I think its important to understand that the desire to 'restore' western civilization is a reactionary ideal. It's core assumption is that Western Civilisation has somehow degraded since a 'golden age', and in order to ensure its continued survival we have to work towards recreating the conditions of that golden age. There's two glaring problems with this line of thought though: 1) it conveniently ignores the vast differences between the past and the present, making restoration seemingly possible despite there being no way to actually recreate the same conditions of the 'golden age'. 2) It says that developments since the end of the 'golden age' are somehow not authentic, despite emerging from the conditions of that golden age.
So essentially it's a lie people tell themselves to confirm that they are right and the things that people are doing now that they disagree with are wrong and if only they could restore western civilisation everything would be good again.
There is also a massive dogwhistle component to it as well, as restoring the 'golden age' can be taken to mean going back to an age where minorities weren't so uppity trying to claim equal rights etc.
"English is essentially a carrier of liberty. And it expresses freedom and liberty better than any other language on the planet"
I like this bit because of how blatantly it shows his "logic" is actually just another brand of dumbass American exceptionalism
tucker carson always has that expression of a confused puppy
Why did I look at the comments section
This was a terrible mistake

I'd say it goes past that bullshit and borders on insanity. He's implying speaking English makes you understand the concept of freedom more than speaking another language. I wish there was some other way that could be construed but it's just so simple and retarded I don't know what else to say about it.
