Pruitt, a vehement adversary of the Environmental Protection Agency during the Obama administration, won confirmation despite strong pushback from Democrats and environmentalists.
Pruitt cleared the Senate by a vote of 52-46.
The vote came after Democrats held the Senate floor for hours overnight and through the morning to criticize Pruitt as a pawn of the fossil-fuel industry and to push for a last-minute delay of his confirmation. Part of their argument was an Oklahoma judge’s ruling late Thursday that Pruitt’s office must turn over thousands of emails related to his communication with oil, gas and coal companies. The judge set a Tuesday deadline for the release of the emails, which a nonprofit group had been seeking for more than two years.
Republicans pressed forward with the afternoon vote, saying Pruitt had been thoroughly vetted in recent months and calling on Democrats to end what Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called “a historic level of obstruction” in holding up Trump administration nominees.
Well... It was nice knowing you Earth.
Get off my planet USA please
Remember, some democrats had to throw their votes behind this guy!

If everyone voted along party lines then no, 52 repubs and 46 dems in the senate with 2 independents.
So he's spent several years suing the EPA for doing what it's meant to do, he denies climate change, and he cares more about big business' interest over protecting the environment.
and now he's the head of the Environmental PROTECTION Agency. I honestly can't come up with any more words to describe how insane this is.

Two dems in red states voted yes (WV, ND)
This is revelant, Daily Mail (fake news) has claimed that there is is a whistleblower in NASA now claiming that NASA forged data to make Climate change real for the Paris Accords, And that Climate Change is a hoax.
Guess mother nature is going to suffer just a little bit longer.
Where's that revolution?
These guys need to get out of office!

I think that's been disproven already.

Daily mail being trash, as usual.

lmao get fucked McConnell.
I can't imagine being able to just spew this sort of hypocrisy with zero hindsight to your own actions over an eight year span
calling on Democrats to end what Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called “a historic level of obstruction” in holding up Trump administration nominees.
Erm... Isn't this literally the exact same sort of bullshit that Republicans do any time they don't get their way? At least the Democrats have valid concerns leading them into these actions.
One of the single most insane decisions of this entire administration, and that's fucking saying something.
"Pruitt" looks and sounds and awful lot like "Prutt" which is Swedish for "Fart". Which is pretty much exactly my thoughts about this current administration..
So, from now on, it will be the Environment Pollution Agency?
Disgusting. And i am not even american. Just let's make those four years quicker.
We're all so fucked.

Two. And a Republican voted against.

I can't take the Daily Mail seriously, they're like a tabloid that people treat as a newspaper.

This among many other news and blanket irresponsible, downright malicious perversions of science and the climate is making me fume with anger. I really am glad the majority of the world seems to be actively pushing for resolution. And I sincerely hope they triple their efforts to fight back against this blatant disregard for humanity.

Granted you might have gotten it anyway, we're already off the cliff of global climate change, what matters now is how long it takes us to stop falling and how long it takes us to climb back up. With Republicans in charge we're gonna be going down that sucker at mach 5 and its gonna take us several decades to undo the damage they do, with them being the heartless corporate shills that majority of the Republican Party is.

Disgusting. Spreading disinformation like that should be illegal.

There would be screams of censorship.
Despite most of their readers being of the "BAN THIS SICK FILTH" mindset.

They obstructed the previous administration for 6-8 years at every chance they got, now they're suddenly on the receiving end of similar treatment and they're being massive titty-babies about it.
Can't say I'm surprised.

I can.
