Anyone has any info on it?
i'm craving for it so bad!
there has been talk about Cloverfield 2, all we know is either it will be another handy-cam movie from the point of view of another group, or it will be backstory.
either way I want Cloverfield 2.
They should do it from point of view and some not POV. Change it up a little bit.
They shouldn't make it
This one better fucking have flaming hobos
I don't think this movie deserves a sequal.
It's a movie that doesn't really drag you into it. Sure there are unanswered questions but I don't think many people care enough to find out the answers

You know you want it.
i hope there is a cloverfield 2 just not with the handy cam thing. i mean like an actual movie like. but i did like the movie very much.
I wish the initial movie was done in normal camera angle... and then the sequel was from the handy cam angle.
As much as I love Cloverfield, I wouldn't want a sequel unless they had something great for it.
did anybody else think the monster look like the spider thing in gears of war?
I loved Cloverfield.

What?
What?
what he means is no handy cam and some handy cam
Oh.

My friends and I were discussing how they could make it in both formats and from two different perspectives. One group could be shot via handy cam, and the other in a more traditional shaky cam.
I guess it could work (switching perspectives, I mean) But who knows.
Cloverfield 2 should be first person view of the monster itself, well most of the film.

That would get real old, real fast. No character interaction, very little dialogue, no supporting characters, and very little character development. It would pretty much just be a first-person view of mass destruction.
And screaming and "let's get the fuck out of here".
Well, I mean, it doesn't have to be all thoughout the movie.

You say that like it's a bad thing. :saddowns:
Didn't the director say something about how you saw another group of poeple with a camera and it'd be another story from their perspective.
If they do make another one and if it is in the shaky cam style I would love to see the new characters and the original characters cross paths.
I thought there was a trailer for it or something, or was that fake?

Cloverfield was good because the monster was more of an all-powerful force rather than an actual being. It was unstoppable, but didn't serve as the primary antagonist to the main characters, simply a catalyst for the situation they were in. In fact, the movie had very little action besides the army shooting at the monster. The characters themselves only participated in actual combat twice in the entire movie. To suddenly turn around and make it a plotless action-only movie would be stupid. You may as well just ask for a movie that entails a camera strapped to an atomic bomb which then gets dropped on something.
I really liked the movie.
I want another handy cam movie just like it. There was a scene where another guy was holding a handy cam - maybe we can see it from his perspective!
I'll suck a dick for it to not to be the handy-cam view. I know it's unique but I think the story is still cool and I would love just a regular film with the story behind it. Maybe put a little bit of handy-cam footage in there.
I won't really suck a dick for that by the way.

If the first one was done normally nobody would care about it; it'd just be another generic monster movie.

I actually was excited to see it the first time without knowing the entire movie was in that perspective. I was disappointed because I kept expecting it to go out of that perspective at least once.
Only the black chick lived, what kind of story can we get off that?
Plus the movie sucked anyway, boring, shitty plot, AWAPORFWHAIPRKIAWC I GOTTSTA GO JAPAN! LUL NOT FUNNY IRONIC MONSTER! FUCK OMG LADY IN BUILDING FALL OVER!
EVERYONE DIE! THEEEE END!
Cloverfield 2 doesn't deserve to exist. The first one was horrible enough.

besides the part where that chick blew up behind the tent. That was bad-fucking-ass. There was a GIF of it somewhere but I don't know where.
Love Cloverfield, would love a sequel.
