But, Firefox and Chrome are clearly better!
Nothing interesting here...
Privacy and speed are being highlighted as two of the features that set IE9 apart.
What about pages being broken and special treatment IE usually suffers from?
IE9 is a free download that works Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers. It's not compatible with Windows XP.
microsoft you bitches
browser market share? Ie better? IE is just preinstalled on every damn pc and half the nation doesn't know there is better shit out there... Man I rant to much.
It is sexy.
implying IE is good
It isn't good or bad until it has been installed and tested... by my parents.
I doubt it will live up to Chrome.
yeah it shows that a majority percentage uses IE, thats because most dont even realise theres other web browsers. Many schools, colleges and workplaces have IE and wont change because of time and effort.
And for the next month we'll be seeing an onslaught of desperate attention seeking as the masses stick with Firefox and Chrome.
"Microsoft has said the latest version of its internet explorer web browser puts it ahead of competitors like Google and Firefox." :raise:
"Microsoft has said the latest version of its internet explorer web browser puts it ahead of competitors like Google and Firefox." :raise:
Don't listen to them, they're clearly crazy.
facepunch will never know if ie9 is truly better because nobody will be assed to download it.
Firefox.
brb Warning Parents.
I'd get it because I occasionally need to use IE and 8 is ugly.
Wasn't this one supposed to actually be good?
facepunch will never know if ie9 is truly better because nobody will be assed to download it.
I will. I only use IE. Mostly because I see no difference in performance between IE and Firefox*, and I've been with IE all my life. *Yes, I forced myself to try out firefox for a week, so I have a good basis.
i'd use this... if it were the only browser out there
ie is bad
microsoft you bitches
why the hell are you still using an eight year old os? [editline]10th February 2011[/editline]
I will. I only use IE. I'll upgrade, considering I need IE for certain programs (God knows why), and 8 is slow as fuck. [editline]10th February 2011[/editline] Chrome is still my one true love, though :h:
Cool, the IE9 is starting to look more Chrome/Safari/opera like.
Thank god I have XP. I cant install that shitty browser then.
why the hell are you still using an eight year old os?
Because it works... It seems like the list of XP-incompatible software is still pretty small.
XP is still awesome. Even if Windows 7 is better, some people don't feel the need to give Microsoft money every 2-3 years just so they have their latest products. We aren't Mac fanboys. I will get it when it's convenient but till then, I like my Windows XP just fine.
why the hell are you still using an eight year old os? [editline]10th February 2011[/editline] if you're looking for better performance use chrome.
Because I dont want to waste money on a OS only to see Microsoft releasing ANOTHER new OS. :colbert:
Better than IE8. I wouldn't say it's better than Chrome/Firefox though. I like the cleaner look of IE9.
