Okay, I'm currently in year 11 and going to take my GCSEs this year. Pretty much ever since I'd thought about it, I've wanted to be a vet, because I really like animals. But now I'm starting to realise that I find science really quite boring on the whole.
Animals and computers are really the only 2 things that get me really excited, like I get that buzz when I go into an electronics or pet shop.
I'm good at science, I just don't particularly enjoy it. I'm really good at maths and I suppose I do enjoy that, same with IT. It's just that I can't see any clear career paths after doing a degree in computer science or maths.
Can anyone help me out? Difficulty isn't much of a problem, since I'm predicted good enough grades to do anything I want.
Thanks
TL;DR : I like animals, computers and maths. I don't like science (lessons). What should I be?
It's rather obvious that you should go with the animals. Computers and math on university level = SCIENCE.
Do what you enjoy doing.
But honestly, never ask the internet to make critical decisions for your life.
If you want to be a vet, do work experience at a surgery. I've done about 4 weeks so far and I've loved every minute. If you find science boring then it shouldn't really be an option considering the fact that you need to take science A-levels (I'm taking Physics, Chemistry, Biology and History) and then you have to deal with at least 5 years of vet school after that.
Courses in veterinary medicine are mainly biology.
I'd go with a software developer as there has been a constant demand for people in that profession since 1989.
I did do work experience at a vets and I currently work as a kennel assistant at the local vet surgery. It looks like a good job, and I would like to do it, I just don't think I could sit through another god knows how many years of science lessons.
I don't mean I don't like science, it's interesting and all, just the more maths/technology side of it.

Being a kennel assistant doesn't look good, but they let me hang out with the vets occasionally and watch operations/consultations which looks cool.

Vet = studying biology (presumably) = SCIENCE
I don't see what you're getting at.

I completely agree with this guy here.
The thing about general degrees like computer science and maths is the wide range of careers it opens you up to. I'm not trying to say what you should do or anything. Do what you enjoy. At A-level you can still easily arrange subject choice to accommodate both - so you've got another 2 or 3 years to find out what you want to stick with.

Like I said, veterinary courses are at least 5 years. A-levels are two years. Would you want to do biology and chemistry for that long? Being a vet is vocational so don't go into it with any doubts. You might end up down 7 years of your life.
But how do I find out what I want to stick with :( Could anyone put together a list of decent jobs after a maths/it degree please?
Go talk to your careers advisor. An internet forum is not the best place for this discussion due to the fact that most members here haven't got to the age of going to university.
I think http://www.prospects.ac.uk gives you an idea what people go on to do after a given degree.

This.
I'm going for a degree in computer networking, then I am going to do a SCITT to get my QTS, then become an I.T Teacher.
Another thing, many people don't really know what they want till they are in their 20s, don't feel pressured when you have plenty of time to decide. In college just go for a plenty generic course that will have credits in whatever you are likely to choose.
You could make animal-robot hybrids.

Biology at A-level is by far the least scientific out of the three sciences.
Compared to Chemistry and Physics, it's just a joke.
Take the G.O.A.T.
Most accurate career test out there.
Whatever you choose to do with your life heading out of high school, odds are by the time you're 21 or 22 you'll probably decide whatever you chose was a huge fucking mistake.
Take the path you wanna take, don't try to stick with your friends, they end up on the same course hurrah, if they don't you meet new friends.
Train dogs to use computers, or you can be an IT guy.
if anything you choose doesn't go well for you, resort to being a manwhore
Be a prostitute

Design robot animals.
Find something that you enjoy doing, and find something that can actually make you money. Your answer will be somewhere in the middle.
Try volunteering for something. I figured out what I want to do by volunteering, and I because I volunteered I gained experince in that field which looks great on applications.
I'd personally go for the animals, but whatever.
Flip burgers.
