So Jack Black is R.L. Stine?
I'll be honest I did not expect what this movie was from the title
Really? You have an anthology book series and this is the best you can do?
Even if they did want to to do a whole monsters escape from the books thing they could have done something actually spooky.
I know they were just kids books but c'mon.
So it's Goosebumps mixed with Jumanji?
So it's basically not remotely scary at all?

If I don't hear this at any point in the movie I will be severely disappointed.
This better end on a horrifying note, like all the books do.
This is from the guy who directed Shark Tale and the live-action Gulliver's Travels movie.
i can't fucking wait this movie is going to be such a trainwreck or at least just horribly odd with jack black as rl stine
i love how awful goosebumps is in general so this is gonna be fantastic
The sad thing is is that this will probably be the closest thing to a horror movie to released this Halloween.
I'm betting this movie will end up being so bad that it's good, so far that's what it seems like.
Eh. Looks a better than I expected. I'll give it a shot.

Yeah this is gonna be fucking shit.
No goosebumps theme?
so its like capturing the aliens in lilo and stitch but with goosebumps books? :v:
Man, that main character is horrible.
It looks cute, but it'd be better if it wasn't the Goosebumps IP and was just some kid Halloween movie.
So it's basically not remotely scary at all?
When has goosebumps ever been scary?

Sadly you may be right. Judging by the trailer alone, it's probably going to be flashy dreck that lacks the soul and spook of the books.
Viewer beware, you're in for a scare... That scare being how mediocre this thing is probably going to be.
So to distract us from the dreck of the coming movie, let's laugh at some older Goosebumps stuff courtesy of everyone's internet favourite, JonTron.

Wow, this is...absolutely not what I expected. You could've tied a fictional author to this and it would've been fine, but tying R.L. Stine into a movie that doesn't even have remotely creepy vibes feels really off.
As someone who read and enjoyed the books as a kid, this looks like bullshit.
i mean, this is just a new version of jumanji or zathura or whatever.

good thing it's a children's movie about a children's series right?
people get so uppity over a movie not targeted for them because of nostalgia glasses.
So not only is this going to be lazy-approach hour and a half of "Hey remember this story character from your childhood? It's making a cameo right now out of it's original context!", but they went a step further and made literally everything that's not a human obvious and ugly CG.

Was never a huge fan of goosebumps and I still know this is a kid's flick, but even as a kid a movie consisting of only what appears to be people running away from nostalgia cameos looks pretty bad.

Doesn't even look like a movie a kid would find scary.
It may not be spooky like the books, but it could be a fun little movie to watch.

Where the first monster they encounter is a furry old yeti, burning his finger on a light bulb.
Having read all the books and remember them fondly, this does Goosebumps without shitting all over the books while also including them. I can dig it
looks like a good shit movie
And once again. A bunch of people posted reaction videos because people care to see what their reactions are.

it's got jack black, is self-aware, and looks like it's campy and loaving in it. fuck it, i'll bite (after it comes out on dvd)
It looks like it could be a lot of fun if the pacing is good.
