It was posted in the Halo thread actually. But whatever.

Halo thread is its own area.
Sorry, but this looks exactly like reach.
And this is Halo content.
Certainly takes a lot less time to kill someone, which I thought was kind of a hallmark of the Halo series, though I haven't played the most recent increments. It's definitely different but it looks good
Sorry, but this looks exactly like reach.
Please name 10 things that make it similar to Reach.
Please name 10 things that make it similar to Reach.
And don't name anything that defines the Halo series either, all good sequels keep the definitive features of previous games.
Sorry, but this looks exactly like reach.
It looks like the previous game in the series? Wow, this is unprecedented.
The game looks great, though I've been on a media black out for Halo 4, I want the game to be fresh when I get in.
It's weird seeing the crosshair so far below the center of the screen. That's going to take a while to get used to.

I never knew why they made it low.
Dont like being unable to drop the flag
Look at the jump from halo 2 to halo 3. That was amazing, so much was added and changed. Halo 3 to reach, there was also quite a big change, forge was vastly improved, the graphics looked much better, and many new gameplay aspects were added. The change from reach to halo 4? The graphics look vastly similar, and not much really has changed. The infection mode looks pretty damn good though.
Still, I guess it is expected for halo fanboys to jump on a hating bandwagon for someone having an opinion. I wasn't even a dick about it, I guess it's just that people jump to defend their game. That's fine, I guess. I would have done the same thing when I was 12.

The real question is name 10 things that are dissimilar, and you can't name tiny little shit like "the health bars look different :DDD".
I never knew why they made it low.
It's because Halo is about verticality; most maps are designed to have extreme height differences. The low placement of the cursor compensates for that.

Ah okay, I've always wondered why since Halo 2.
is it just me or do the new marines look like the TR from planetside 2?

Halo fans are actually quite torn on Halo 4. It's not really seen here on FP but on other places it is.
Halo 4 right now looks better because of the focus on lighting, bloom and effects.

So I was wrong to assume that everyone was hyped over it? Ah. Sorry if that came off as dickish. :v:

Nah it's fine.
The new Maps look really good and I'm extremely excited for Spartan Ops. I loved the scenes when they were getting their armour it looked really cool!
Is it me, or do these "armor mods" feel like the same system they use in call of duty? I'm still not impressed with this game, it looks like a brighter version of Reach and they added a few things here and there. I do like that there is a lot more customization with armors but I'm not about to spend 60 on the game plus another 50 for xbox live.

Oh man just bring up Call of Duty is going to start something big. Halo 4 borrows some things from Call of Duty but edits them in a to make them slightly different. There are things they didn't change when bringing them over like Kill cams and game winning kill cams. Things they did change were care packages were now you just need a set amount of points to call one in and you get to select whats in it. They also made it so you have loadouts similar to Call of Duty and they made it so you have to unlock guns as you rank up. All guns you unlock are already on the map though.

Yes its like CoD but its a change of direction for the Halo series, I'm pretty sure you don't want Halo to be basically almost the same game every time. Halo has always brought new features and functions to its series.
I'm so damn tempted to get it, but I could do without buying a kit of gear around the game (xbox, live, big tv, games). I'd probably fail or do poorly at uni as well.

To be honest, I much rather have some similarities between the Halo games. I know that through out the Halo games there has been improvements to gameplay that separates each one. From what I've seen it looks like a cross between Halo Reach and Call of Duty. Reach as far as I remember had a credit system that was mostly for cosmetic items. I imagine that the credit system in this game will be used for your armor mods. This is pretty much a huge deviation from all the other Halo games which I'm not looking forward to. I could be wrong though since I stopped caring for Halo after Reach and stopped doing my research on what this new game brings.
WHY CAN'T HALO 4 BE ON PC.
WHY?
I owned an Xbox, and an Xbox 360 EXCLUSIVELY for Halo titles, even though I was primarily a PC player. I just can't use a god damn controller anymore... it feels like such a handicap, and so unbelievably sluggish after using keyboard & mouse.

Of course Halo 2 and 3 was vastly different. They were two different console generations had more development time.
Also I don't really see how Reach looks more different than 3 than this does from Reach. If anything, Reach felt like a degradation because of the lazy, crap maps.

Where is Halo 3 and Reach for PC? :v:
I've played Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo: Reach respectively, and the greatest thing I can see about Halo 4 having is all the new features. There looks like there is so much being added onto this game with it still having that Halo feel. I thought I was done with Halo after Reach cause I could not stand Reach, but I am actually very very keen to get this game. It just looks so amazing.
Flagsassination.
Preordered.
Dont like being unable to drop the flag
I agree, but I don't think they made it impossible I think they just made it so they encourage the flag carrier to commit to his role a bit more.
