Lately I've been trying to write tracks with more intricate percussion. Usually this results in me creating compositions with a so much going on in the high and mid frequency spaces that there's no room left for a lead synth or anything else to carry a melody. What fills the space though is pretty cool.. Anyone else like these semi-atonal minimal beats?

I actually really enjoy stuff like this, things don't always have to carry a melody to be good and this is an example of some great rhythm - I prefer the first one
you should ramp up the dissonance more
