Victims' groups have long called for the Vatican to do more to make bishops accountable for abuse on their watch. Its aim would be "to judge bishops with regard to crimes of the abuse of office when connected to the abuse of minors", the statement added. I think it'd be better if this panel consisted of independent members, not hand-picked by the pope and have some affiliation with the church most likely
Now it's time for the Pope to screw these priests
I legit love this guy, gonna be a real sad moment when he inevitably steps down. :(
Popes go until they die bro
The last one stepped down. But you're right though, usually they don't step down.
It's very rare for popes to step down. It's a position-till-death deal.
If you want it to be. Francis himself has said that he thinks his papacy will last some 4-5 years, and that Benedict set an example by stepping down.
I'll be surely grateful for the good he's done in this world when he's gone, that's for sure.
Good thing this isn't a tribunal of pedophile priests.

When are we going to have an Inquistion against the pedophiles?
When are we going to have an Inquistion against the pedophiles?
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith is the same Church office that used to be the Inquisition. I wonder if they've still got the old hardware lying about :v:
The last one stepped down. But you're right though, usually they don't step down.
Wasn't that because he was a shady mofo? :v:
When are we going to have an Inquistion against the pedophiles?
I don't think lynching people left and right is an acceptable law enforcement method in this day and age. After going to a catholic school I absolutely dispise some sectors of Catholicism, specifically the De La Salle brothers. Worst part of the church. At my school apparently many kids were raped in a shed near a pond nearby the school on some old mattresses, you can literally fucking walk to the shed and see all of it in it, and these cases were even made public and the priests got away with nothing, absolutely fucking nothing. And now it's been covered up completely by the school and the De La Salle brothers, there used to be articles about it around which have been deleted entirely. Also Ps: being a non catholic in a catholic school was horrible, even to the point of discrimination in some cases
