Covert Action is a fantastic older game that has a ton of replayability. Each case is randomly generated with a chain of criminals trying to accomplish a common goal, whether it be smuggling drugs, blowing something up, springing someone from jail, kidnapping, etc. It's really fun to play so I recorded a hard playthrough for others to get a taste. Mistake on my part? Probably! CASE 2 - Holy shit we're stopping crime We might have this case wrapped up early now that we've caught a key suspect. This game looks awesome, good LP also.
Yeah i'm surprised it took me this long to find it, the replayability is just astounding aswell. I've uploaded the second video now, we wrap up the first case and get ready to move onto the next one which i'm about to play through.
Oh golly, more to watch!
Oh nice, second episode.
I wish there were no hand-holding games like this made with modern tech.
I would make this if I could. Hopefully in a few years after a bunch of education. [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] Also, OP, do you know if this is abandonware or not? I'd really like to try it out.
Yeah it is, heres a link: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/139/Covert+Action.html
Awesome. This is gonna be great. I assume this needs DosBox or the like.
www.youtube.com/jefmajor is doing one too.
Fuck you for getting me addicted to LP's of this game.
Uploaded the first video of our Second Case, the plot thickens and my god we're actually stopping crime! I actually had to take a break I was so pumped after recording the first part.
I've noticed people upload youtube vids of this game don't use bug rooms, are they that bad?
Well it's mostly used for when conspirators are conversing in some way, which is difficult to judge. I had a good chance to use them in Case 2 when I knew David still had the goods but I just arrested him instead. They're good for additional information I think people don't use them because they aren't really needed to stop a crime and it's more convenient to just break in and grab shit (Less so on the higher difficulties). But! Just for you and other such curious users, on case 3 i'll make a consious effort to use them, if i'm not getting shot to pieces too bad. I've also uploaded the last part of case 2. Expect 3 soon!
I arrested a mastermind first thing on my second case :v:
So there was a courier and she never got to carry anything cos we... ...I went to Baghdad, which is where he was. And then HEH, right after I weng to Baghdad he get's the sample items! ...Then I broke in... ...And didn't do anything. I get some information... And he's like Yo I got them! And she's like Okay. And then I broke again and again and then I took the sample items aaaaand I putin into jail. Best report ever!
These are really great.

Part 1 of Case 3 is now uploaded, some crazy shit happens near the end, first time i've ever been in a room with 3 guard without being noticed. I'm also compiling some highlights as the first video isn't an accurate representation of the series, more of an introduction.
I'm starting not to believe in the Cover Action Rule made by sid meier.
