its true though, all I could think while watching the netflix Daredevil show was how he and batman are so alike, and how some things of his would fit better if he was indeed batman

Can Daredevil afford a jet and a car billion expensive gadgets that he can trash on a nightly basis? let's not address the fact that daredevil in a jet would be a bad idea all around

He was called Daredevil because he's "The Man without Fear" who would (literally) blindly dive into action aka a daredevil like Evil Kneevil, and when he was originally created he was far more of a swashbuckling, jovial type until Miller recreated him as being a darker hero. Don't even get me started on the Catholic implication of the Daredevil part.
It's funny because people remember Batman as the broody, dark guy, mostly thanks to Frank Miller's influence in the late 80's... ... whilst forgetting he did the exact same thing for Daredevil almost ten years earlier. So I guess if you wanna go by those standards, Batman should be named Daredevil. [editline]21st May 2015[/editline] Heck, Daredevil did the dark and gritty movie BEFORE Batman too! His dark and gritty movie came out in 2003, and Batman Begins came out in 2006!

I swear to God i hate these stupid Sprite animated videos.
The show feels *very* Nolan, still, with Daredevil even saying "I'm the man this city needs!"
To be fair half the superheroes out there are trying to protect their particular city. Daredevil isn't even trying to protect a whole city, he spends most of his time in and around Hell's Kitchen. If shit gets too bad he can always call on Spiderman for help, they'd both like to punch Kingpin in the face.

Like, I'm watching Daredevil right now and I like it but I keep thinking about the fact that the entire Avengers team and their enemies exist in the same universe, literally Gods, while Daredevil (so far) has been kind of down to earth. It doesn't ruin anything, but I just keep finding myself thinking about it while watching anything Marvel.
batman... it'd make his identity a bit too obvious [editline]21st May 2015[/editline]
Heck, Daredevil did the dark and gritty movie BEFORE Batman too!
too bad the daredevil movie sucked so everyone forgot about its existence.
The director's cut is actually pretty good. It adds in some cut subplots, it makes the movie a lot stronger as a whole. I don't know how I felt about Ben Affleck as Daredevil, though. I'm sure someone could have played the role much better. Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms, though.
