What's with the countless goatse images scattered across threads? - General

See, take the 'I went to burger king and ordered 100 whopper juniors!' thread. There were countless goatse images from pg. 8-15! Don't smear "Derp what i'd expect from a stupid 10'er" all over the place Because my other account had a custom character in it and it was hard to login.

I haven't seen a single goatse picture on this forum yet. But that's coming from a 2010'er.

I've yet to see Goatse on the forums in the last few years

maybe the uploader of a picture that's used a lot over the internet changed it to goatse, therefore automatically changing all the posts of it to goatse

Did you really need to make a separate topic for this? Actually, from the looks of it, you signed up solely to complain about the images, seeing as how you have 2 posts here and 1 in the BK topic, that i've seen. It's an image that's got spammed, yea it's bad but it's not make a topic bad.

Image source in that thread about children is d2k5.com. What about these other ones? Can you guys check?

I think these post are from when people were hotlinking smilies from some guys website when Facepunch got a makeover. If I remember right, Garry removed and then reimplemented smilies. I guess the guy must have put goatse as a hotlinking stopper.

They're from when Garry removed all emotions. (Or he didn't add them back, I forgot) Some site had a pack of all Something Awful emotes, people made a Greasemonkey script and used it. It was using a ton of bandwidth so the creator of the site changed them to that. Ninja'd.

It's settle then. Hotlink from some website should be avoided
