The Entertainment center looks nice, but you appear to have a bowing issue on the shelf holding the tower/media piece. It could just be the angle of the shot, but I'd checkit with a level every so often

That's usually why you need to glue before assembling - it also serves as an endgrain sealant. When wood warps, one side of the board literally needs to be longer than the other side, so once water is absorbed (even through moisture in the air) it allows for the distribution along the capilaries of the wood to either side, so no matter how sturdy it is, it will fail, unless you seal the ends.
