Holy shit. I want this.
Its got a slight Just Cause and Far Cry vibe in it
Was that music from the Dredd soundtrack at the end?

looks operator as fuck. i'm cautiously, yet optimistically hyped.
Yeah looks awesome and a hell of a lot of fun, my only issue is gonna be finding people who can actually follow orders and do the mission properly......ala GTA Heists.
That looked nothing like a Ghost Recon game.
That looked nothing like a Ghost Recon game.
you say that, but around a minute and a half into the video when it was being streamed and they hadn't revealed the title of the game I was pretty sure it was the next ghost recon
That actually looks really fucking cool, this came out of nowhere.
operator beard: check
I've run out of money to throw at my monitor.
I wonder if this will manage to be as disappointing as Watch Dogs.
you say that, but around a minute and a half into the video when it was being streamed and they hadn't revealed the title of the game I was pretty sure it was the next ghost recon
I'd also guessed ghost recon by the end. I had suspicions from the start of the gameplay but the drone mostly confirmed it in my head.
you say that, but around a minute and a half into the video when it was being streamed and they hadn't revealed the title of the game I was pretty sure it was the next ghost recon
I honestly felt that it was more likely that it would have been a modern Call of Juarez game, none of that really screamed Ghost Recon to me.
I thought it was Mercenaries. This seems hardly Ghost Recon
That looked nothing like a Ghost Recon game.
the franchise needed something fresh and new, the last couple of games were failures. I think they went down the right path with this one, most interesting ubisoft game of this show yet imho
"pre-alpha" oh fuck off Looks interesting though, but then again it's an ubisoft open world game, i'll wait and see if it follows the mold like the rest of them before I get excited.
This looks like The Division set in South America. Anyway since it's Ubisoft I'm going to be very cautious about looking forward to this.

The fuck. This isn't why I played Ghost Recon. This could have been a entirely new franchise and nobody would have argued with it. Ghost Recon has ALWAYS been basically a open-ended version of Rainbow Six, with a more covert style and, after Advanced Warfighter, a pseudo-futuristic style. This is none of that. After R6 Siege, I expected them to have learned that there IS a market for tactical shooters, but instead they make a game even more action oriented than GR: Future Soldier. It's like they learned absolutely nothing with the fact that GR Phantoms was more popular among fans because it's more akin to the originals. GRFS reviews and sales are mediocre for it's average action and lack of unique stuff other than the actually pretty cool hud and gadgets, hell, I played that game more than sixty hours and I still would recommended the F2P one above it. I'm pissed off, because that's not what I wanted from GR game, if it wasn't for those drones, not a single element from GRAW would have remained. And since it's Ubisoft, they are probably fuck up this one too, just like GRFS, I think 10 hours of gametime went to actually trying to play the bloody game. /endrant
why even bother calling this ghost recon
Because they're scared it won't sell. Just look at Assassins creed 4
Shoot the evil tattoo guys, destroy the drugs and money (why, because we leave no evidence behind??) and then be THE cool guy not looking at the explosion. Under what agency do they even operate? A "special branch" of military set up for something stupid? Bleargh.. There are no bullet impact wounds on enemy bodies either which should also be the norm these days, other than all that it looks cool. I guess.
Ah yes, kinda has a Mercenaries 1 vibe to it.

Bleargh..
According to the ghost recon lore, the Ghosts are a super-duper secret SOF unit undertaking deniable missions. Think an incredibly secret version of SFOD-D or Seal Team Six. I'm excited for this though, it's right up my alley. Who wouldn't want an open-world special forces game?
GET READY FOR MORE RADIO TOWER CLIMBING TO UNLOCK "X"
Based on "pickpocketing" and "Eagle-edge views" from Assassin's Creed series and holding "x" to hack stuff, there will be probably be more holding a button to do stuff.
Holy shit, I had lost a lot of interests in the last couple Ghost Recon games. But this just look fucking awesome! [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] Also the most beautiful graphics ever....
This looks amazing so far, but knowing Ubisoft we're gonna see a massive visual downgrade until release.
