Do we know if this is going to be a free event or more DLC? I wouldn't think they'd put the effort in for this huge promo for something they're not going to sell, but my friend said they announced it would be free.

If you're in the PD2 community group as of the DLC's release, you get it for free.

It'd be hard to make it work tbh, it's not like they have redeeming qualities to make you root for them, the payday crew are all assholes despite being funny and as a result the audience would want them all to either get arrested or killed, unlike say Heat for example. They just straight up murder everyone and do it sadistically too.
But that's going way off track.
That was absolutely terrible, I've seen amateur stuff that was way better than this. Whoever directed it didn't do a very good job whatsoever and it felt like watching something completely unrelated to Payday in any way besides maybe the masks. At most, there were about a dozen cops on-frame at any given moment, makes it feel like I'm watching a bunch of 16 year olds in ill-fitting suits playing pretend in their dads office.
Why it's a 10 minute long teaser and why they even bothered making this shit in the first place is beyond me.
Wouldnt a simple announcement suffice instead of pouring money into making something as cringeworthy as this?

To be honest, I don't mind if it looks a bit shit. It's still a big event and it makes us feel good knowing that at least the company care about it.

I agree, but I can't tell why. I'm not sure if it's due to the fact that I have heard the sound many times, or if the sound is just cheap.

I think it's a two parter.
1. Bain is not heard anywhere else in the video apart from that bit, they introduce a character into the video without really explaining how he got there, he just turns up and disappears. It would be a bit like if you're watching Avengers and while they're bickering amongst themselves, one of the guys from the carrier just came in and was all like "Hey guys, there's probably going to be an attack on the city soon." Great. We could of probably figured that out for ourselves thanks.
2. It's a clip you hear quite a few times in the game, with little to no variation so as soon as you hear it you get dragged out of the video because it kind of breaks you out of the mood it's going with.
it also sounds like it's coming from YOUR radio, which is confusing since we're not to be on scene. it's too crisp
