I figured that i should get a Wacom tablet, and preferably one in the Bamboo series. I am still not sure. Any ideas? I have only used a tablet few hours, and i loved it.
My sister has a Bamboo fun, which is a great tablet price/functionality wise
I have a Genius MousePen i608, it's like 60bux
That was the one i thought about buying, so i'll do that

wait, what about the intuos4 one?
Intuos4 is what the professionals use, I think. Get that if you can afford it.

the smallest one is around 250 bucks, you don't want that as an entry level tablet

If you can afford it, then i don't see why buying a better and more expensive tablet would be a bad thing.
Clearly there is a chance of not ever needing it, but a lot of people have that money to spare.
Because when you're still learning you don't need to spend that much money on a tablet
You learn just as fast on a better tablet, and you don't have to buy a better one if needed.
the thing is that i want the Medium Intuos4, and i if I bought Bamboo Fun, then i might just end up spending even more money when i need a better tablet. So in the long run wouldn't it be better to buy the Intuos4 M?

yes, buy the intuos4. If you're serious about using it and sticking with it then it'll save you having to buy one in the future.
I will buy the Intuos4. It also looks sexier than the bamboo, and the buttons seem useful. Thanks for the help!
Buy a Cintiq 21UX
Nah just kidding, Intuos4 should be more than enough
Alright, if you're serious about your investment then go for it.
I was just worried because I see a lot of people buying expensive tablets and then making things like this:

Oh my, that is... bad. What I love about tablets are that you have lots of tools by your hand. You got any color in the world, and there are numerous brushes for the exact effect you want.

Must be satisfying to paint stuff like that on Cintiq 21UX
a bamboo fun is great for beginners I have used one up untill last week.
seriously u dont need a big fancy expensive one if it's your first, you'll learn just as fast with a simpler one
But will an expensive one restrict me from developing?
no it will not, but buying an expensive one is uneccecery for a beginner
to clarify, is this what you guys are talking about?

this is logical
but for all you know you might hate digital art and throw your tablet away after a week. what a waste of money that would be.
buy something cheap
Well, i've made digital art before, with a tablet pc. It was not very good but it worked. I love digtital art, and am very inspired by it. I know that this doesn't make me like creating digital art, but it might add something to it.

Also, Intuos is A4, while Bamboo Fun is A5
Intuos4 comes in A5 too
Not the Medium one, which is the one i'd buy
what u mean, medium=A5

btw I own both of the tablet ur planning to buy and I really reccomend the bamboo fun and if ur not gonna take tips form us I don't get why you made this thread
I am taking tips? You know that you aren't the only one who posted in here, right? And i am considering the bamboo more and more. Also, yes the Intuos4 Medium is about the same size as an A4.

Yea, thats the one
If you're serious about learning and have the money, buy the larger one.
If you're unsure and this is an experiment then buy the smaller one.
I have decided. I will buy Bamboo Fun. I got the money for Intuos, but i'd rather pay half the price for smaller tablet, though it has exactly what I need. If the tablet keeps being interesting for me, i'll buy an Intuos4
Just ordered myself a Wacom CTF-430 Bamboo One Pen on eBay for £21.99. Super low market but it reviews well enough considering i just want to mess around.
I got the bamboo fun today. I was wondering if there was a cheaper version of photoshop instead of the one that costs about 500 $?
The reason i bump, is that i don't wanna make a new thread for a simple question.
