Just a heads up for anyone in Halifax to be aware if you have to head into the downtown area. My university is locked down at the moment in light of this.

Could be a neerdowell with a sniper rifle, could be a guy who bought a piece of stainless steel piping he wanted to protect from scratches and was jawjacking on a bluetooth headset.

What exactly do they plan to charge him with? Carrying a long gun around isn't in and of itself illegal here unless it's loaded.

Nobody is going to care about that considering what happened yesterday.
At best they'll tell him "dude, uncool." and it will vanish in the day's news.
Oh, little correction: the arrest and firearm recovered may be unrelated to the sighting.
