Along with the expansion of platforms comes a delay, seven months worth, with all three versions now planned for simultaneous release in September.
i'm not mad that its going to xbox and ps3. i am mad at the fact that ubisoft just delayed a finished game by 7 months. wtf
they don't want to lose sales
i understand this is probably the reason considering the wii u version will probably be last in sales for the game now that it's multiplat. still way uncool...
Well, it was probable they were going to do this. Rayman is still quite a popular series and Ubisoft just want a wider audience to buy and play their game, nothing really to be annoyed about. 7 month delay is a pretty big jump though, but if they gotta delay it they gotta delay it.
I have a feeling it is going to be overlooked with GTA 5 coming out the same month.
Oh good I enjoyed Rayman Origins but I would've been irritated if I had to buy a new console to play it.
the 360 and ps3 version has less feature though wii u version has all the features and this feels like a exact mirror of the bayonetta 2 incident, except wii u owners are mad.
So they're taking a finished game that they were planning on releasing in a matter of weeks during a massive drought where Wii U owners are outright BEGGING for a game to buy... and they're delaying it to the fall when half of the highly anticipated AAA titles get released and where the game won't even stand a chance, just so they can have a simultaneous release with two other consoles that won't even be able to support major features of the game. Who the fuck made that decision?
This news makes me very happy. Rayman Origins was a fantastic game. Hopefully this means it's coming to PC at some point too. I'm willing to wait, I'm just happy it's not exclusive anymore. Love me some Rayman.
Wii U owners aren't too happy about this
This news makes me very happy. Rayman Origins was a fantastic game. Why not release it on Wii U when they were fucking going to in the first place, and release it on PS3 and 360 later? Wow this is incredibly dumb
Bit sad for Wii U owners Great for non Wii U owners. Rayman Origins was probably one of the best games i played last year, and what little i'v tried of Legends stands up to Origins I can understand delaying PS3 / 360 versions, but Wii U version makes no sense: I'd be very interested to hear their reasoning
Holy shit why delay the WiiU version seven fucking months? They had to be almost done with it. They even had a demo out and fucking everything.
rayman legends is like the only demo they ever have at wii-u kiosks i thought it was out already lol
This is horse shit. I was mad about Pikmin 3 being delayed, but that was a few months when they announced it. I would be having a stress induced panic attack of some sort if they ever did this for Pikmin 3. Why Ubisoft, Why do you hate the Wii U.
They would've ported the game eventually anyways lol (just look at how many times Rayman 2 and Origins got ported) Doesn't mean it's not dumb...but I guess they really didn't want to force people to wait that long for an inferior port. (Since the Wii U version does utilize the Gamepad for a ton of things.) It's only fair. I'm not complaining though. I wasn't all that excited for Legends.
Delaying a game by 7 months when it was supposed to be released in 3 weeks is insane. Especially since it was already delayed! The game was supposed to launch with the wii u, now it's almost a year behind.

Delaying it when it was already finished is. They could have easily released it for Wii U on the set date, then ported it to other consoles in september.
Poor wording on my part, sorry. I meant that it was dumb to delay it when it was clearly finished.
The worst part is that they're going to face worse sales on the Wii U end, then probably blame the poor sales on Nintendo for...whatever reason. I never cared for Rayman, but the sheer fact that they took an exclusive and decided to plop it onto other platforms (while DELAYING THE ORIGINAL VERSION) is infuriating enough as it is.
