these people ruin and skew the view on the otherwise completely ordinary people that have fled from other countries to here; it's fucking scandalous that the police isn't making an example of them, and frankly i know that if action isn't taken by the police, the furious alcoholic regulars will.

Why are police across Europe so fucking afraid of laying a hand on immigrants? What worries me is that if the police don't step up to their responsibility, the locals probably will, and they aren't exactly known for their tactfulness and finesse. So there's going to be a lot of blood.

I must admit that I wonder why this is in international news, though. Sure, it should be dealt with, but this is pretty politicized. I mean, today it was also revealed that a camp boss has threatened asylum seekers in the camp if they didn't do as he said - that's actually an issue where the minister of integration (Inger Støjberg) could benefit from going there and talk to people; maybe it's an issue that is general to asylum camps because of too little oversight? Not to say that this isn't an issue, but I think it's way more about money than sharia. It has been going on for quite a few years, this time there's just an extra sharia spin on it. Of course it should be stopped, though, but this is a bunch of gangs that want protection money from their turf, I don't think the sharia part is all that important to them. This is gang related activity and it should be treated as such.

They're just close-minded retards who want religious favoritism, and as far as France is concerned, it's far from exclusive to Islam. There's more news of local Christian groups protesting against gay marriage or trying to closed sex shops (my favorite being the protests of christian men trying to ban abortion) than news of local Muslim groups protesting against Christmas decorations because it's oppressive to them, but both happen on a semi regular basis.
