Tripping in Public - General

I was wondering how many of you have taken a psychedelic, such as acid, shrooms, mescaline, or any other drugs that cause you to "trip", in a public place. Did it cause you to be paranoid, or did you not give a shit? I plan on taking an eighth of shrooms and going to a concert soon. However, my friend said he went out in public and it caused him to freak out and have a bad trip. I am quite sure I will be fine, but I won't really know until it happens. So I am trying to get a handle on things that could potentially cause a "bad trip". Please share your insight.

Depends on the person, some have no trouble tripping their out of their mind in public places whereas others prefer to trip alone or in a small group.

When I trip DXM, I love wandering around campus with a few friends. It's pretty hard to socialize on DXM, so it is sometimes a little stressful, but other than that, no problems. The last time I did LSD, we ended up just driving around town and hanging with random people. That was pretty fun too

I gotta disagree with you there. Yes, most everything is fun on shrooms, but I find grocery stores/malls/etc to be a bit overwhelming (too goddamn bright)

It won't matter at a concert, most people act like they're on drugs there anyway. It might be overwhelming, though.

I lived right next to park with a really long path through the woods. Trip our balls off at 3am in the middle of the country in pitch black woods. So fucking scary. It's the best. The path turned into a cliff on all sides, so if you stumbled off into the grass you felt like you were falling. And as we walked on the path, we tried so hard to stare ahead and not into the woods. Kept seeing faceless people right on the edges of the tress following us. Could hear them laughing and talking.

Especially when people start bumping into you, and you fall over, all you feel is the bass in the ground and see hoards of feet jumping around.

Well at this particular venue is indoors. It has lcd screens and crazy lights. I doubt I would be knocked over. And there are chairs and a balcony if I need to rest. I think the mushrooms will make the songs even more epic and intense. In a good way though.

I walked down the beach, and into Isla Vista when on shrooms. I wasn't paranoid at all. Maybe it's because it's a college town, but I felt like everyone was super-friendly and understanding (though I didn't talk to them).

At a gig it should be fine. I've only tripped in public at festivals and gigs, but admittedly most of the times I've tripped I've ended up wandering off and talking to people, and I never felt paranoid.

LAN party: I was chillin' on some hydrocodone. A bunch of kids judgmentally asked if I was drunk. Passed the breathalyzer [necessary to have at a LAN party?] to their surprise. Also went to Sunoco once while I was completely ripped. The all-wise fat black woman [as they all seem to be] was giving me the disapproval eye.

hydrocodone isn't a psychedelic...

Well the concert is about a week away, but I am so ready. The shrooms beckon me. (I am going to see Mars Volta btw) also my friend is also going to trip with me, so that should be cool I will post how it goes after the show.

Like 4 people asked me if I had weed that day. I know it's not tripping, but thizzing in public is fun.

I tripped on shrooms at a out door concert. It wasn't that good of a trip, and I felt more like going somewhere else than anything.

I haven't tried shrooms, but I've heard that they make even lame music sound incredible and easy to get into.

I trip on E/Shrooms/Acid in public with no problem. It's a lot of fun.

It's not quite tripping, but the only real thing i take in public is e. Hitting up nightclubs while rolling is great fun.

Last time I tripped it was in this huge forest with trails and shit. But it wasn't all that mind blowing. I had some visuals, but nothing too crazy. I figure if I am tripping in a darker place with trippy stage lights and crazy music, it will give me a totally different kind of trip.
