WASHINGTON — Tony Podesta and the Podesta Group are now the subjects of a federal investigation being led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, three sources with knowledge of the matter told NBC News.
The probe of Podesta and his Democratic-leaning lobbying firm grew out of Mueller's inquiry into the finances of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, according to the sources. As special counsel, Mueller has been tasked with investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

How deep does this rabbit hole go?
Purge Capitol Hill, please.
So is Mueller now a hero to Trump Supporters? I mean, it often takes very little for them to flip.

Now that he's investigating the Podestas, you're sure to see the Trump fanbase's support of the investigation surge :v:
Now both sides are in the ouroboros. Will we see even more bipartisan efforts to reform our election systems and provide more education to understand misinformation campaigns? Will we see partisan efforts to blame either side in attempts to further a case for the other half to be voted out of their position? Will we see bipartisan efforts to put this and stuff similar under the rug, or will partisan efforts take these pasts and presents into the public eye? I bet on both being generally partisan, but I'm putting most of my chips on the republicans having the most grim and juicy stories to tell.

Or both parties will decide to bury whole threating investigation together, wich is what will happen.

you mean drain the swamp?
Or both parties will decide to bury whole threating investigation together, wich is what will happen.
The Democratic party has absolutely no ties to Podesta that are worth burying this shit over. He'll be thrown under the bus in the blink of an eye.

so Democrats can remove possibly the entire Republican administration, or at least massively fuck up its approval while boosting their own and gaining a gigantic campaign point for 2020
OR
just not do that

You can believe it as soon the Washington Post starts running articles about suddenly worrying about Mueller overreaching.
Follow the leads wherever they go. Anybody found to be deliberately working in collusion with the hostile Russian government to undermine our sovereignty in exchange for personal gain deserves to face life in prison.

You have such an incredibly ignorant perspective of our political system. Every post you make on this subject shows just how little you actually understand about it.

I'd rather be ignorant about political system i understand soo little than go paranoid after every newsflash.

Anybody not concerned by the increasingly disturbing revelations of this investigation simply aren't paying attention.

You don't really seem to care that this is serious. That's fine. You don't have to. But your not acknowledging that doesn't change the reality this is serious

or you could choose option c and not comment about things you "understand soo little" about?

That's a frankly stupid viewpoint to take.

Oh, my apologies.
I would honestly be more shocked if it was found that nobody in the Democrats had ties to Russia in some form. The International political hellscape that is today means every party will have someone talking with outsiders.
The real question is how severe are the ties and what was the purpose of the communications if any.

What about the people deliberately working in collusion with multinational corporations and Wall Street to undermine our sovereignty? Why is it any worse when it's foreign interests controlling our politicians with money and corrupt deals than it is with domestic interests controlling our politicians with money and corrupt deals?

They're both awful and have to be dealt with. However, domestic influences are much more likely to have some interest in protecting other domestic interests and a generally stable life. Suffice to say a corporation would prefer the country be stable and functional because that offers short term and long term benefits. Hostile foreign interests are far less inclined to care and in fact it works better in their favor to actively undermine every aspect of domestic life they can because that creates a weaker enemy. This makes achieving their own goals easier.

You don't think Mueller is currently overreaching?
