Awesome. How can you argue with that? Rest of North America should follow suit.
If this doesn't pass I'm giving up on humanity.

So fucking true. Although pot's not that healthy for you, this prop makes sense. Makes money, decriminalizes marijuana so cops don't have to worry about it, and we wont have to listen to stoners talk about their pot plants/dealers.
I'm actually hoping this passes because it might give the movement in Canada a little more steam.

Oh, because that's such a burden. :P

Fucking Americans trample on our freedom.

It becomes a burden when they guy sitting next to you during math tells you about his dealer 4 times in 2 days and the same story of how he lost his plant 3 times in 2 days. That's SoCal.
What a badass.
And you heard that he was a cop, so yeah. Prop 19 should be passed.

Not really, you just sit near a stoner.
Although pot's not that healthy for you
Pot has no long-term effects.
... pot is better then cigarettes. it dont kill nobody (directly)<dont smoke and steer>
What are the plans on prices? I mean, it should cost less than the stuff you can get from your dealer or else people will still buy the untaxed weed.
Fuck yes!
Holy fuck they're finally legalizing it!
What are the plans on prices? I mean, it should cost less than the stuff you can get from your dealer or else people will still buy the untaxed weed.
See that's what I'm worried about. I'm almost certain this will pass, but what about price regulation? I have a feeling the government is going to tax this so high as an incentive to not purchase weed, but that just means that people will go back to buying from dealers. Then you don't really solve the whole "drug cartel" issue.
It needs to be competitively priced, or else one of the major positive points of legalization goes out the window.
If they legalize it won't it mean there'll be an age limit on it just like alcohol and tobacco?
If it does pass, it won't have much of an effect on drug cartels, they'll still have many other places to ship it.
Even if they did, would they start growing individual pot plants, greenhouses for it?
Pot has no long-term effects.
It does if you use chronic weed and smoke it a lot. Weed is one of the safest drugs you can take but it does have its draw backs.
He's right about the easier to get pot than beer part.
I could buy pot from quite a few friends of mine, yet I have no connections to get booze. And I don't smoke.

Of course, they aren't just going to liberate it for everyone.

21 and older, can't smoke in public or in front of minors.
My issue is it'd be weird seeing my parents getting high or something of that order, would really be a backwards house.
Although I'm in support of the proposition.
I don't smoke cannabis but I still want this to pass.
