Charlie Sheen's character in Two and a Half Men will be killed off to make way for his replacement Ashton Kutcher, according to a report.
Producers have been thinking of scenarios to end the life of Sheen's character, the booze-swigging womaniser Charlie Harper, TMZ reports.
A source close to the CBS show told the entertainment website that executive producer Chuck Lorre, who had a public fallout with Sheen, wants to make sure the 45-year-old actor never appears on the show again.
The first episode of the new series will not be shot until August 5 and possible scenarios for Harper's death include Charlie driving off a cliff.
This is seen as a nod to the fact two of Sheen's cars were stolen and driven into a ravine off LA's exclusive Mulholland Drive.
It is believed Ashton Kutcher's character will buy Charlie Harper's house after his death.
Reports of Harper's demise comes as cable network TBS denied rumours it was bidding for a new sitcom starring Sheen.
"TBS is not in discussions for a possible project with Charlie Sheen," TBS said in a statement.

I think the new part of this news is that they're actually killing the character off, so he can never come back to the show, instead of making him disappear or something equally stupid.
Ashton's pretty coo so I'll give it a watch but I don't have my hopes up
