Very late.
Also, I bet one will cost like a cheap car.
Not to mention it's almost even more useless than segway.
It looks good in concept but I bet it will be really stupid in practicality.
I can see myself falling on my ass if I tried using one of them
The commercial looked like it was on the Wii. And why can't those model whores keep their feet off the ground. Annoyed me to hell.
i would have to deck someone if i saw them riding one of these
Next gen office chairs.
Edit: I just hope it doesn't turn into something that lazy fucks use just because they can't be bothered walking.
As Richard Hammond once said "Will they make one for fat people?" If they did the fat person would probably just absorb it.
1.buy unicycle thing
2.put on a robe and wizard hat
3. put robe over unicycle
4. invite over friends
5. HOLY SHIT HE'S HOVERING AOUND LIKE A FUCKING WIZARD FUCK AHHHH
It will only get close to acceptable in japan
And then the technical limitations and the cost will get in the way
do they really need to spend so much on getting rid of walking?
"...in harmony with Humanity."
Oh, Japan.
Aside, this looks pretty damn innovative. The wheel structure is unlike anything I've ever seen. I don't really see it replacing the ability to walk and/or run in the near future though.
Also, it looks sexy.
The part were they were in a museum made me laugh my ass off. This is so stupid. Sort of cool at the same time.

You cannot lie. Having one of these would be so awesome.
Honda created the

Having this to go long distances would be cool.
If we ever invade a planet, we should use these. They would be fucking terrified.
From the video it looks as if it can go as fast as you walk. And I doubt it can last longer then you can walk.
It looks fun to drive but I don't see any other uses for it then that.
Oh and they seemed a bit stiff on there, as if they were scared to fall off.
Cool concept, but not really useful

"Close to acceptable", that's laughable. I saw several people riding these things outside of the mini-Honda headquarters in Tokyo. Not a single person, besides me, looked shocked or surprised.
I JUST GOT AN SUPER AWESOME IDEA!
Imagine a war veteran with both his legs blown of to the hip. Now attach the veteran with this chair. Epic robot warrior 2000.

That's actually not a bad idea as a practical usage for this. Only problem I can really see with that is getting up stairs, you could probably get down them fine though.
I thought they bitch about people becoming more and more obese, now they're GIVING them a reason to become fat.
Office races take a whole new level.

You mean like fat people in america use mobility scooters?
I can only see fat, disabled, and lazy people using this. Everyone else probably likes using their legs more than spending money on a chair that moves as fast as you walk.
The military applications are endless!
interesting... but not very usefull for long commutes. and just imagine fat people... it would look like they were hovering around...
and knowing me, i would fall backwards and split my head open.
Oh no a stair!
I want one just to have one.
These would be great for offices but that's about it.
