Why, he's a faceless demon/ghost/sub-human/angel/god/creature from another dimension. We're not really sure yet, and it varies from where you're getting your information from. But! The original mythos (created by Victor Surge in [url=http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3150591&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=1]this SomethingAwful thread[/url]) tell us that he's..uh, we're still not really sure; but we know a few things. For one, he's terrifying and faceless. He's also been around for ages. The mythos mostly made him prey on children, but recent ARGs & blogs have him stalking college students.

Anyways, I'm going to update the OP to focus more on the multiple series for various reasons, one of them being that the giant Marble Hornet's list is fucking huge.
Where the dicks did that totheark entry come from, and why did I miss it? That was pretty creepy though. I also love new threads, but this new post limit is confusing! It went from 5,000, to "a lot", to 10,000, back to 5,000, and now anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000.

I never found him creepy or scary, I've always found crazy things like Alma or Slenderman interesting. They poke my curiosity more than scare me.
Swilly, and I pretty much gather up theories about the way Slenderman works, I'm also the guy to go to about getting other creepy things like SCP files.

I wouldn't say that. It could just as easily just be a cult. In fact, Slender Man cults are pretty common throughout the mythos. I wouldn't jump the gun quite yet.
