Eric Manu, 32, has been living in B.C. for three years after marrying a Canadian woman he met in Ghana. The couple now have a 10-month-old son. Manu’s uncle was previously the king of the Akan tribe, but he died in 2013. This July, Manu received a phone call telling him he had been chosen as his uncle’s replacement.
Those Nigerian Prince scams are getting more and more ridiculous. :v:
Suddenly all of those Nigerian prince scams sound a bit more believable. :v:
Nah they're just getting more elaborate.
Sounds like the plot to a great comedy. Que the montage of him adjusting to life in the African wild.
Apparently, he really knows his roots and knows how to stay grounded. :suicide:

I know a girl who's got a aunt who's some leader of a tribe in the Congo. Its ridiculous how this shit happens.
Sure it's cool that this guy gets to say he's a king. But he's a king in a dirt poor shithole so nothing changes in his life.
Sounds like the plot to a great comedy. Que the montage of him adjusting to life in the African wild.
I remember a show on tv a while back where two white teenagers became kings of a random island nation. It's already been done.
Sure it's cool that this guy gets to say he's a king. But he's a king in a dirt poor shithole so nothing changes in his life.
he's now a leader of men, more than what you will ever amount to be :smug:
Sure it's cool that this guy gets to say he's a king. But he's a king in a dirt poor shithole so nothing changes in his life.
Honestly there's a lot a man can do as a king of a 6,000 people tribe.
he's now a leader of men, more than what you will ever amount to be :smug:
I lead a group project once :smug: [editline]27th November 2015[/editline]
Honestly there's a lot a man can do as a king of a 6,000 people tribe.
Like what?
Can he have a harem?
Those Nigerian Prince scams are getting more and more ridiculous. :v:
Well, You can become a king right now if you want. You've just got to secede from your country and form your own. It's easier to do in the US but here they don't like it. They tried to raid a person in the 70's that did it and were told by the courts to return everything they took because they had just committee an act of war, funnily enough that country is still at war with us today. What's more interesting is the Australia government doesn't like to accept that it exists nor do they like to talk about it.
Mate I wish I could find out that I'm the leader of some great celtic clan or something. Or maybe not, since celts were pussies. Maybe I could be the long lost leader of a viking clan instead. The question is this: Can he live a more prosperous life as the king of an African tribe, or as a worker in the United States?

If by then the bacteria has evolved into a micro civilization you have gotten your wish.

The thing is I'm supposed to be doing the same thing. My father is from Ghana and his parents lead a tribe, that I am supposed to take over in a couple of years.
Are we certain reality isn't a bad sitcom? I'm having an existential crisis here. If I got that phone call, I'd probably hang up. Doesn't matter if it's true or not, I'm not going.
