Regardless of your opinion of the events in Ferguson, shooting at police will do literally nothing else then make the situation worse.
So that must have been fucking terrifying.
Why does it sound like the guy is dying...?
What's going on in this town? Someone got a link or something, I am so confused, why so many police?
Why does it sound like the guy is dying...?
tear gas
What kind of moron sees this much firepower and decides to shoot at them with what sounds like one pistol.
Surprised more of the reporters aren't wearing gasmasks, a fairly cheap mask designed for painting fumes would probably do the job. Also, the sound of rounds ricocheting gets my blood pumping like no other; maybe it's because I've been shooting before though and being on the other end of that sound is terrifying.
Running with tear gas in your lungs can't be a fun experience.
Man, this isnt the way it should be. I detest people who protest violence with violence. [editline]24th August 2014[/editline]
What's going on in this town? Someone got a link or something, I am so confused, why so many police?
Where have you been dude?
Running with tear gas in your lungs can't be a fun experience.
I was just thinking the same. Jesus Christ, must suck for those journalists.
It could also be he's just out of shape. That's what I'd sound like if I spent several days walking across town and sprinting from A to B when things got dicy.

This isn't the tired kind of coughing and breathing.
Running with tear gas in your lungs can't be a fun experience.
Its like having tiny shards of glass in your lungs, your throat when you cough feels like it is gonna rip out, obviously you're eyes water and any skin/pores that are exposed also tend to burn. It pretty much activates all your glands that create mucus so you're gonna end up hacking up/spitting and your noise is going to be dripping with snot. Though it all depends entirely on the type of CS gas you're hit with, there are like a dozen different types and various strengths.
What's going on in this town? I think that's the gist of it anyway, I haven't actually been following it that much.
That's what happens when you shoot at people with guns, they shoot back. Not supporting either part. (I have heard numerous rumors of the police shooting protesters)
That's what happens when you shoot at people with guns, they shoot back. Not supporting either part. (I have heard numerous rumors of the police shooting protesters)
The difference is that the police aren't using live ammo. They're not aiming for a massacre, they're trying to contain a riot (as over the top their response was, that was still the goal). We're not China, we don't gun down protesters for funsies.
Wow it looks almost like some dystopian apocalyptic science fiction movie with geared up anonymous troops marching the streets
I wish this shit was never started, but when the police kill one of your own I imagine it leaves people feeling like they have no other option but to resort to violence. This is going to get worse before it gets better. Back when Cliven Bundy had his militia have an armed standoff with the government, they just backed down. Now that it's a bunch of rowdy black kids the government has to show off how big their dick is.
Wow it looks almost like some dystopian apocalyptic science fiction movie with geared up anonymous troops marching the streets
lol this is so rude/ignorant its almost funny.
When the officer asked 'everybody good?' and checked on the reporters it kinda made me feel really good; showed that the people who assume all cops are bad and that the officers walking those streets with guns are out there to construct tyranny aren't right after all.
Wow it looks almost like some dystopian apocalyptic science fiction movie with geared up anonymous troops marching the streets
i guess that's what it might seem like to someone living in sweden. watch more news, less movies.
lol this is so rude/ignorant its almost funny.
I think it's a reasonable perspective. I mean, I for one have never seen squads of police with such armaments walking down the street in patrol with sirens blazing through the night /ever/ except for in fictional media. It's true though that even though it 'looks' like that kinda fictional scenario, it obviously isn't.
whatever then.
it is not a reasonable perspective. it's a rude and uneducated perspective. i could say it's the exact opposite; you guys (netherlands, sweden) live in a utopia and i live in the "real world". except not really. i would never say this kind of stuff because it's ignorant.
"you cant make parallels to something visually similar because it offends me and its rude and uneducated, stop comparing reality to fiction even when it happens to share similar aspects, it's really ignorant" fucking calm down, wow

Its not that big of a deal man.

Rite? [editline]24th August 2014[/editline] That's not to say I don't appreciate your experience. You're right about the fact that people who live in European/other countries might not understand how the police function here as well.

Would not recommend. Much more of a burn. Its like puncturing the skin on your face 100000 of times than pouring rubbing alcohol on it.
youtube comments on things like this never cease to amaze me anyway this whole situation is pretty messed up, but i've heard so many different stories, are there any solid reports of what actually happened?
It sounded like a round ricocheted near that dude's head.
