So... Is this a remake or something for a 25th anniversary?
Interesting. I've only ever watched the two of the movies, still haven't gotten around to watching Stand Alone Complex, unfortunetley. But I love the franchise's beautiful cyberpunk asthetic and its intelligentley done stories with all the philosophy of advancing technology and commentary on the human condition.
Not to mention it has a kickass female protagonist that is able to wear outfits like this, and nobody gives a shit about it because its just the way things are in-universe. Intelligence AND fanservice that's not over-the-top? Sounds perfect in my book!

Almost through SAC and my god, IG has done well. I expect great things for this 25th anniversary animation.

So it looks like a new movie to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original manga.
Wait so is it an original entry or is it just a remake of a remake that wasn't even really a remake?

Seems that lot of people that were doing Arise are handling different components of the movie too
The trailer and information are hosted on the official Arise site (http://www.kokaku-a.jp/index2.html) rather than on it's own one. So I'm guessing it'll be an original film based on the series, kind of like how Solid State Society was with Stand Alone Complex.
I want a movie or series based on ghost in the shell 2 manga, I don't care how complex it is.
