Quite surprised they didnt run off as fast as possible. It is illegal to jump off from building after all.

It's the trespassing that goes with getting to the places where you can jump. If you get permission from the building owners or the like, you're perfectly legal to BASE off a high rise. Considering the applause, group that seemed to be gathered from the beginning, and that they didn't run off, they may have gotten permission to do the jump?

This is all speculation, though, and until we see a more complete video or something from the jumpers, we're not gonna know for sure. [editline]2nd November 2013[/editline] Oh, the video's 2 years old. :v: It's also from Spain, so that might explain some of it. I'm not sure what the laws and social stigma around BASE jumping are there.

Good god, did they have to reach back to undo the parachute. My arms would just freeze up
That was cool as fuck.
Jumping doesn't seem that bad, but standing on the elevator just as it going up like that.. jesus my legs would probably give in.
Good god, did they have to reach back to undo the parachute. My arms would just freeze up
I dont know anything about parachutes or base jumping but that seems really dangerous.

I've always wanted to go skydiving. This seems like a good intro-course. :v:
Good god, did they have to reach back to undo the parachute. My arms would just freeze up
It is a kind of backpack. Though BASE rigs are the worst. There are times you'll see them pulling the handle as they're jumping, just so their parachute has time to open. And BASE rigs are notorious for quick, snappy openings. As in, they will open in hundreds of feet or less. Definitely not something to take on an up-jump.
I dont know anything about parachutes or base jumping but that seems really dangerous.
There's a great bumper sticker I remember always seeing out at the dropzone when my parents jumped regularly... "Remember when sex was safe, and skydiving was dangerous?" Skydiving is ridiculously safe, and most if not all fatalities are pilot error. Be it a bad pack job, or not dealing with problems (like line twist) correctly.... The fact that you have to reach back to pull the pilot chute out isn't a problem.
My knees went weak when he stared down from the elevator
My arms went heavy when he got his head bumped.
My arms went heavy when he got his head bumped.
If I were him as soon as that lift started moving my nerves would have been so crazy that there would have been vomit on my sweater already, mom's spaghetti
Why didn't they capture point C before they jumped?
I wonder if they are nervous, because on the surface they look calm and ready
I wonder if they are nervous, because on the surface they look calm and ready
The guy filming said he was nervous, I knew a guy who worked worked at a skydiving place. I think he said he had taken the leap nearly 500 times and he told me he never got used to the initial jump. You always get those butterflies in your stomach. Hell I ride coasters all the time but I still get nervous when I go on rides that I have been on many times. Such as this one. I have been on that coaster nearly 70 times and I still get nervous before that first drop.
reminds me of Dom from GTA V

Titanium alloyed balls
Oh god when the head butted each other by accident I thought one was going to fall
