Disney's animated fairy tale musical is expected to pass $1 billion in worldwide ticket sales on Sunday, according to studio estimates. "Frozen," which was released wide in the United States and Canada in late November, has generated $388.7 million in box-office revenue from those two countries, while overseas sales have reached $611.5 million. The long-running picture is nominated for two Oscars, which air Sunday night. The nods include best original song for "Let it Go" by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and best animated feature. In the best animated feature category, it faces "Despicable Me 2," "The Croods," "The Wind Rises" and "Ernest & Celestine." Not adjusting for ticket-price inflation, "Frozen" is the second-highest-grossing animated movie ever, behind "Toy Story 3," and is the top animated non-sequel. Released in 2010, "Toy Story 3" hauled in $1.06 billion. Doesn't come as a chock at all, the movie was fantastic!
Doesn't come as a chock at all, the movie was fantastic!
I don't know, after watching it I was left feeling a little unsatisfied like the movie was lacking, then after about three weeks I stopped giving a shit about it due to the amount of people constantly going on about it.
Literally never heard of this movie.
I don't know, after watching it I was left feeling a little unsatisfied like the movie was lacking, then after about three weeks I stopped giving a shit about it due to the amount of people constantly going on about it.
I let it go too.
nice rock you're living under
Hey now. It's a boulder.
I am interested to watch it but is it really that popular? Not that I don't think it's bad that it's popular but what is it that makes it so popular?
I'll watch it if someone confirms that is doesn't have a non-cliche story
I am interested to watch it but is it really that popular? Not that I don't think it's bad that it's popular but what is it that makes it so popular?
It's a Disney film (which instantly gives it a massive fanbase) that's challenging the concept of the princess (not that it's the first time Disney has done this), questions and subverts the idealization of true love in kid's media ([sp]"act of true love" being between two sisters[/sp], and deals heavily with issues such as depression, anxiety and panic attacks, from the views of Elsa who suffers them but also of Anna who has to deal with Elsa's issues and not knowing what to do (I've seen a lot of people saying how much they identify with Elsa), as well as having a strong story, beautiful visuals and a great soundtrack. It's one of the best Disney films I've seen, for sure. I really loved it.
baka gaijins. how does this even begin to compare with dragon ball z: battle of gods? that's right, nerds. i thought so.
i thought the movie was okay at best.... but ok
Spolier.
Snip your shit. Some people haven't seen it yet.
Honestly I thought the movie was OK. Not amazing, just ok. It had some nice elements to it that made for a nice change of pace and were a breath of fresh air. Overall though, I came out of the movie feeling like it was lacking in some areas.
Spoilers Don’t Spoil Anything Besides that I don't think its really a spoiler.
That's a terrible excuse for spoiling things for people, if you don't mind spoilers then don't mind them but don't force your opinion on others

I had never even heard of it until like last month when supposedly it was the best movie ever made. I am planning on sitting down and watching it soon, but it's probably going to be depressing as fuck to have me sitting by myself watching some happy Disney movie in the dark because I have no friends or loved ones. I will most likely cry halfway through, shut it off, and lay down.
Brave was way better than this and i dont even like the 3d disney movies (with the exception of Brave)
my girlfriend is obsessed with it :v: all I see on her facebook is frozen.
Spoilers Don’t Spoil Anything
the article has him skipping to the end of a book not blatantly giving away the end to the movie
I'm glad to see it, Disney deserves some success after some if it's recent ventures.
It doesn't have a cliche story
Why are people disagreeing with this, it really doesn't have a cliche story (for reasons mikeyt went into). What does it have to do to not be "cliche" then, if subverting the typical tropes of a disney film isn't enough.
I don't know, after watching it I was left feeling a little unsatisfied like the movie was lacking, then after about three weeks I stopped giving a shit about it due to the amount of people constantly going on about it.
I'm literally flooded with Frozen shit.
i thought the movie was okay at best.... but ok
just because something makes a lot of money doesn't mean it's necessarily good
I thought the movie was pretty mediocre. I don't know why people think it's a godsend.
I would like to see a Disney movie that portrayed a male character as the lead, without a strong supporting female role. It seems like every single Disney movie focuses on a woman, and it would be cool to see what they'd do with a male.

The movie was okay... Seems like half the reason people even treat it like a gift from Jesus himself is because Anna and Elsa are their dream waifu.
I thought it was just alright, felt like a typical disney princess movie with a snow theme to it.
