I'm only playing this shit if you can play as an old, fat, bald, Chinese guy.
wow a studio in hongcouver and not a single asian working on game about hong kong
I still have no idea what this is after watching the video.
Uhh did they not get why people liked Sleeping dogs in the first place? It had great characters, a decent main character who was somewhat believable, and an environment that fit to touch.
I don't even know what the fuck they are selling.
oh baby, an online pc-only title. better showcase gameplay footage using a controller.
-snip I'm way too tired to be posting right now, read that post completely wrong-
Why are people bitching about this? Combining the combat and environment of Sleeping Dogs with creating your own triad sounds cool to me.
Gut feeling says this will flop.

Sounds cool but the fighting really wasn't what I liked about Sleeping Dogs. Fuck it got repetitive at some points, and the only reason it didn't drag the game down was because of how the missions changed up the pace enough.

The combat really is extremely simplistic.
Personally I think Yakuza was way better in that respect.
Just make it a premium (10-30 dollars) game and reduce the cartoonishness of the GUI (Xp popups and the results screen come to mind) because they do not fit in the slightest in a gritty M rated title.
Soooo, is this multiplayer? Will you be seeing other players driving and running around?

They mentioned you have to battle other players for rackets or something similar, which I think are gonna be like strongholds kinda

really? thats like comparing GTA's melee to like streetfighter. They are two completely different genres.
this looks like apb but better imo
'' It's a game that's constantly evolving, I dunno, maybe in a year from now it might not even be the same game ''
Great sales pitch.

2:45 ??
Eurgh. I liked Sleeping Dogs mostly, aside from the awful driving. I don't see why I'd need a reskin of it but now I'm a triad member playing half the missions of Sleeping Dogs?
It's a multiplier version of a fantastic single player game.
Where we can grind or possibly cash shop our way to the ever elusive top, while dealing with mostly aggressive idiots and a handful of level headed players.
Or at least that's what I can tell from this horribly vague teaser.
