So, this might be a departure from what's usually posted here but I've been watching some Dean Martin roasts lately and I think this is worth a post. There are a lot of very funny people on those roasts but one man who stands out is the famous "drunk" comedian, Foster Brooks. He was known for his unbelievable depiction of a stereotypical-yet-believable drunk as he roasted the rest of the folks on the dais, and his comedic timing is honestly some of the best that I've seen. He also made appearances on The Dean Martin Show and The Steve Allen Show, but many know him best for the roasts, and that's what I'd like to share for you guys. These are the appearances I could find and, while some of the humor is a little dated and you may not know many (if any) of the people being roasted, I still think it's funnier than 98% of the comedy in the roasts we see today, and what's remarkable is that he manages it without being vulgar. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
