i can't get mad at anyone i see wearing one of those hachimakis, even if they taunt :unsmith:
Almost as much as North Korea donated
I'm glad that all that money went to a good cause.
Very Impressive.
Awesome way to get charity money.
While I question whether the people who bought the hats would have actually donated to Japan with good intentions without the incentive, its good know that it raised a lot of money.
One of the hats cost $100? 100 real dollars or the valve money thingymajob?
Sad thing is 90% of the people who bought the hats just wanted the hats.
Valve scammed people into donating
Valve scammed people into donating
Hardly scammed
well good for you valve.
It costs four hundred thousand dollars to help Japan... for 12 seconds
Congratulations to everyone who donated
Most of the people who bought the hats probably would have done it anyway and now they tell everyone they're doing it for Japan

Pretty sure that's a false claim, Japan haven't run out of money
More people need to know about the goodness that Valve has done. Why hasn't any other news sites covered this yet?!
I bought a hachimaki to donate the money, and I'm proud of it. Maybe it wasn't much, but it feels good to be part of something like this.
Is funny to me that RPS says Valve just reported it today, the 11th. The blog post clearly states it was posted three days ago.
Yeah but no, I'm really happy that the community was able to raise that much money. About $30 of it was mine. I feel really warm inside whenever I wear my Hachimaki.
its funny how i don't even notice any of the hats until i was killed

That's because TF2 is an FPS so you can't see them
See, the way I see these things are is:
A. You go to the Red Cross and directly donate money
B. You go to the Mann Co. store and donate money, but get a nice bonus too.

when you donate money but get something from it its called purchasing
I bought a hachimaki and made a better skin for it shortly after, I still wear it on my soldier.
Japan themselves said they don't really need that much money. They are a rich country.
There are other countries like Haiti that still need help.

"But they don't produce robots, wacky gameshows and anime in Haiti.
Fuck them."

So people who donate directly are just purchasing tax deductions, right?
