And this is before we have an official US/EU release.
How odd
It's most likely because they will have enough units to sell to the Australians compared to other countries.
Not enough of them to buy it to put pressure on Nintendo, and they will get fucked over by conversion costs.
Wow, that's perfect for me.
Whelp, looks like it's time for Eurofags to import this from Australia as opposed to the other way around.
Alright that's kind of annoying. The N3DS has all these improvements over the 3DS, while the N3DSXL has 'larger screens' (even though earlier he said they were the same) and 'luxury look'. Really? Sigh. The customization options looked AWESOME, I see no reason they don't release cover plates for XL. I much prefer the XL, it's size is comfortable and the bigger screen looks nicer imo. The normal one seems SO tiny after using the XL. I hope they'll at least have downloadable home themes for XL models.
I bought a 3ds a month ago you fucks!
You couldn't announce the product a bit earlier before you release it!?
Wow what, I thought Nintendo EU said it wouldn't come until 2015? Nice, though; I hate it when there are huge arbitrary waits between regions.
Though I'm baffled as to why they kept the terrible name. I'm STILL running into friends who don't realize that "New Nintendo 3DS" is seriously its actual name. They all think it's just a placeholder or that news sites are just calling it that because it has no name yet.
Is mass consumer confusion part of Nintendo's grand plan somehow?
[editline]fuck you[/editline]
Oh, I hadn't watched the video all the way through; he says they won't come to the rest of the world until 2015. Oh well.
does this mean nintendo is finally noticing australia and their lack of presence on our region?

Yeah that seems to be a trend lately, I seriously though "Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo Wii-U/3DS" was also a placeholder all the way up until the demo came out and there was no way it was gonna be different. It is a pretty direct title, though.
I hope they have an upgrade deal for current 3DS/xl users

To be fair, I often forget that Australia is a country until late at night when I'm trying to sleep and I can hear a faint "cunt" from across the ocean, almost like listening to a seashell.
Goddamit I'll be leaving Australia on the 20th Nov.
Shit.
Isn't that the same day as the release of Pokemon ORAS? I wonder if that's on purpose.
Region lock still exists, so buying it from Australia would be a dumb move.
I pretty much live in Australia so I don't mind. Flagdog only displays the country you registered in.
But the problem is I'll be away for months and by the time I come back the rest of the world would probably already catch up and I will lose my "haha early release cunts" privilege.
Isn't that the same day as the release of Pokemon ORAS? I wonder if that's on purpose.
If only they gave us the ORAS N3DS bundle, I'd gladly snatch that up come launch day. However, considering how retarded nintendo is when it comes to these things, I'll probably wind up waiting till 2015 just to get a N3DS....longer if they drag their feet.
I decided to not upgrade to XL when this was announced (for Japan) because if I were gonna upgrade I might as well wait for an international release.
And now this happens. The envy.

Nintendo, you really need to stop picking and choosing who gets what first. You'd make so much more money if you catered to ALL of your customers at once instead of one market at a time. I'd kill for a N3DS pokemon ORAS bundle in November.
I was thinking of upgrading to the new 3ds, and then, after not using my 3ds for a week, I open it, the screen is broken.
So heres to hoping for a release for the rest of the world soon.
