• New Beats Need Feedback!

Okay so recently I've been posting some of the beats I've been making for fun on soundcloud, and I was hoping some of you guys could give me some extra feedback on my songs. I'm not planning on going pro, but I might possibly sell these for a little extra cash someday if I get better. Anyways, let me know what you guys think :] http://soundcloud.com/dj-alexander-the-great -Okay so just an edit here, I uploaded some more tracks, and there's now a list of my personal favorites if you click on the "Sets" tab.. It will basically have a little player that is a little easier to navigate through songs instead of going page to page.
Mastermind and Hardcore are your prime beats!
Don't use the same kick and clap for every single beat and use some more interesting synths. A dozen low wobbly lfos mean nothing if you don't have a lead synth to make it all make sense.
wouldn't be surprised if the kick and clap samples are FL studio defaults

Yeah, the some of the kicks are, I tune the kicks and claps with compressors and reverbs usually, I find it too hard to create my own kick so I find editing the defaults easier, plus there are many to choose from.
its way to electro for me, but it has a very very nice progression!
Hey Pyrofilliac, I just took some of your advice, thanks for the help! On my latest track I tried to use a little more melody so it would all flow together a little better, and I used some standard drums instead of bass-boosted kicks for every song. My latest track is "Chill Beat" so let me know if i'm missing anything please! And thanks everyone for the feedback.
