Since the show is no longer running, this thread is for general discussion.
In essence, the show, Seinfeld, is about nothing, and everything, at the same time. The show struggled a lot in Seasons 1-4, when in season 4 views started to pick up and Season 4 is called "The Breakthrough Season" according to the DVD Release people. The show is about Jerry Seinfeld, who is only slightly famous in the world of this show, and owns the apartment the other characters spend the most time in. George Costanza, a generally cheap person who has a knack for losing jobs, (Real Estate in the start of the series, A job in Pendant publishing with Elaine, and, his last job(?) working for the Yankees) He is like the Barney of How I Met Your Mother but for seinfeld, excluding all the sex. He comes up with a lot of dumb theories, like the season 5 episode "The Opposite", Where he does the opposite of what his instincts do, and everything goes his way. Elaine, the only female, who dated Jerry, but they're just friends. And Kramer, who is very weird, having a lot of stories (they discover he was in the army once etc, etc.).
DVD Releases
Since the series ended in 1998, all seasons have been released.
All of them have been released sperate as well as: A Seasons 1 2 and 3 box with Monke's salt and pepper shakers, and playing cards, Seasons 5 & 6, with a miniature version of the puffy shirt, and All of the seasons in one box, with a real version of kramer's coffee table book.

A George divided against himself CANNOT STAND!
Larry David is a genius and this is show is an example of it.
Easily my favorite sitcom ever.
This one time I was home due to sickness, I watched SO much Seinfeld I eventually fell in love with George Costanza. What a man.
I still have season 8 and 9 left though. I'm saving em for my midlife-crisis and/or other dark times to come.
Also, as part of the Norwegian graduation tradition ie. russ celebration I painted this and got it printed onto my russ-coat

I'm watching all of them in a row. I'm on Season 3, which is good because I started at 2 AM last night.

The show pretty much began being funny at about season 3
I started loving it on near end of Season 2. All the seasons after that are extremely funny, it's just the first one that's a bit meh compared to the rest.
It gets better once it has some recurring jokes
Is Larry David making a new season of Curb?
HBO has said that it is "cautiously optimistic" that Larry David will begin work on a ninth season. The network's president of programming Michael Lombardo commented, "For the first time ever after this season Larry didn't say 'I never want to do this again'.
Probably making a new one according to wikipedia.
Other than that though there's been no word of it from what I have seen :(

What a great show.
This and Curb Your Enthusiasm are among the greatest shows ever made.
I'm on Season 4: The Trip
My absolute favorite Seinfeld moment of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_T35QhLx_KI#t=104s
If you like Seinfeld, then you should check out curb your enthusiasm.
Larry David is a hilarious genius.
This show is just brilliant.
I have to say perhaps the most genuis episode, in my opinion, was "The Contest."

That's one of the best scenes ever.
Fun fact which I just recently learned.
In the entire series, George has 43 girlfriends.
The average number of sexual partners for an American man is 7.
Heh, the average is 7.

"On the ninth season DVD for the finale, it was stated that George had dated 62 girlfriends during the show's run."
Ok this is definitely all a lie
