It's based on a short film that came out in 2009 and gained a lot of attention for its use of visual effects (as well as Half-Life sound effects and Lost music)

The creator gave some interviews [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8rRb4z0gVA]like this[/url] around the time it was released, but as far as I am aware this is the first true update on the project since the short film appeared on YouTube.

Kind of sucks the person who uploaded it didn't add any information about the history of this project, like how it's (so far as I know) being entirely produced by one person, and has been in development for ten-ish years.

The comments are tearing it apart for "looking like a shitty syfy film" and "a trailer for a low-budget video game", without really understanding the fact that it isn't a film studio making it, but just one dude with hella determination.

Not gonna lie, reading those comments made me sad, because of how much time, work, and love has been put into this project. :frown:

So they built a world siphoning machine to fuel their own but it went haywire and now this guy has to travel to this alternate world to fix the machine and the alternate world's armies/police forces are understandably trying to stop him from fixing it because fuck your world siphoning machine? That's the gist I got from the trailer anyways.
