But Mr Obama will still attend the G20 economic talks in St Petersburg. A White House aide said Mr Snowden's asylum had deepened the pre-existing tension between the two counties.
Getting cold out with all this snowden
And he will visit Sweden instead.
Yes! Not communicating will definitely help!
Sometimes politicians really make themselves look like a bunch of kids. Here in German parliament only half the people bother to come, half the people that do show up just talk with each other or stare at cell phones, and the rest yells at each other in "profiling" non sequiturs and ad hominems completely directed at proving they're better/right rather than directed at pooling knowledge to tackle a problem from multiple angles to improve efficiency. Sometimes I really get the impression the concept we associate with "adult" or "mature" is just myths and wishes. Whoops, tangents.
What happened to the "reset" of relations? Was our last backup saved in 1961?
And then he's going to complain about the lack of negotiation Fucking really
What happened to the "reset" of relations? Was our last backup saved in 1961?
If I recall correctly, that button said "Overcharge", not "reset".
Getting cold out with all this snowden
That was a tad forced.
"I'm not playing with you" *pouty face*
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT kiss kiss kiss
This gives putin more time to do awesome things like fishing and fighting bears
good on you obama. putin can go fuck himself.
What exactly is Obama trying to prove here by doing this? Not talking to Putin just makes Obama seem temperamental to be honest.
Clearly Obama is gay and doesn't want to go to jail.
This gives putin more time to do awesome things like fishing and fighting bears
And fixing elections and making it legal to kill gay people.
Sometimes I really get the impression the concept we associate with "adult" or "mature" is just myths and wishes. Whoops, tangents.
a lot of politicians (that are supposed to be running the country) are basically prime examples of adult children we have those here too and i could literally grab people off the street to replace some of them and they'd do a better job

He also chose to cancel due to the anti-gay law stuff aswell.
He also chose to cancel due to the anti-gay law stuff aswell.
I would actually somewhat commend that, but cancelling because of Snowden is just childish and does nothing to resolve any issues. Yes let's cut off our discussions, that will definitely repair the rift between two major world powers.
What exactly is Obama trying to prove here by doing this? Not talking to Putin just makes Obama seem temperamental to be honest.
To be fair, a lot of US politicians would have an absolute field day metaphorically beating the shit out of him if he decided to continue with the meeting; he's not the only one having a fit over Russia's treatment of Snowden.
Obama is such a bell-end.
And fixing elections and making it legal to kill gay people.
that whole cult of personality has gotten kind of gruesome in hindsight
-snip I am a FOOL!-
Don't you love that this is the reason Obama is not going and not the whole killing gay people thing?
Well if you'd bother to read the entire article and not just the title:
"We have reached the conclusion that there is not enough recent progress in our bilateral agenda with Russia to hold a US-Russia Summit," the White House said in a statement. In addition to Russia's "disappointing decision" to grant Mr Snowden temporary asylum, the White House cited a lack of progress on issues ranging from missile defence to human rights. "We believe it would be more constructive to postpone the summit until we have more results from our shared agenda," the White House said.
Or even:
"I have no patience for countries that try to treat gays or lesbians or transgender persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them," Mr Obama said.

Well if you'd bother to read the entire article and not just the title: Or even:
I feel stupid now
