Today we’re providing an update to our launch plans for Xbox One. At Xbox, our goal is to provide the best games and entertainment experience possible and the team continues to make great progress on delivering Xbox One. At E3, we announced that Xbox One would be available in 21 markets around the world at launch. This was an aggressive goal and the team has been working very hard to deliver Xbox One to as many markets as possible. Our priority is ensuring our customers get the best Xbox One experience the first day it is available. To do that, and in order to meet demand, we have adjusted the number of markets that will receive Xbox One in November to 13 markets, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand, in November. We remain committed to launching Xbox One in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, as soon as possible in 2014. Get a PS4 instead.
No Xbox One for you Snowden.
One step forward, two steps back.
Not that I wanted that piece of shit anyway. Meanwhile, I should probably buy some more NES games. EDIT: apparently buying nes games instead of xbox one = dumb okay
I feel bad for the Xbox team, the guys who aren't in charge of making decisions but are responsible for building it. All this hard work, all for management to alternately shit on or fuck up.
I take back my "shooting their foot with a shotgun" comment it's really more like Microsoft is slowly lowering themselves feet first into a wood chipper
I doubt most will buy it until they release the no-kinetic version which should drop the price and remove hardware that people probably won't use all that much.
Well that's unfortunate, to say the least.
Good thing I'm a PS4 guy, would be mad otherwise.
I doubt most will buy it until they release the no-kinetic version which should drop the price and remove hardware that people probably won't use all that much.
But the Kinect isn't mandatory anymore.
Tell me, how is the Xbox One a piece of shit.
you wanna go ahead and get a fire and some smores going? we're gonna be here for a while.
whats their beef with Scandinavia
Tell me, how is the Xbox One a piece of shit.
It was one, but not really anymore. It is mostly people being pissed off they originally planned on doing it the other way, and the fear that they can switch it back on later in the console's lifespan.
Tell me, how is the Xbox One a piece of shit.
At this point it's less that the system itself is bad and more that Microsoft clearly doesn't know what they're doing. Even months after the initial catastrophic announcement, they're STILL stumbling around trying to figure out how to properly advertise it, let alone win over the people they shunned. Beyond that, a lot of people think having the Kinect included is a poor decision (especially when it leads to a $500 price tag), and I've seen many people commenting that the launch/near-launch games for Xbox One are largely lackluster. So, that's probably why.
For comparison the 360 launched in 22 countries in Nov/Dec 2005

And it may have a lackluster line of launch titles, but that's nothing to call it a "piece of shit."

Look at Microsoft's major competition right now: Sony isn't really even having to do anything and yet because they have an extremely clear picture on what they want to do with the PS4 (essentially continuing PS3's legacy of variety & consumer value), they look like gods on golden stallions in comparison. It's way too early to tell how this console generation is going to pan out of course, but Microsoft has some serious work to do to catch up.

I would take forza and deadrising over any 2 ps4 games. and its more then likely due to all of the changes that have been made since e3 and the amount of restructuring that has been taking place, they dealt with the biggest markets first.
Maybe this is related to the rumoured RAM yield problems?
That's so fucking ridiculous. If they took out the mandatory activation when turning it on for the first time this wouldn't matter, but now they are forcing people to buy their competitors console if they don't want to wait like half a year. It's like they don't want to sell them or something.

Microsoft took a lot of risks, and they backfired. Sony just keeps saying "we're not doing the thing you guys don't like." I'm still leaning towards the PS4, so far, but solely because comparing PS3's exclusives and the Xbox 360's over the past couple years, PS3 looked much more appealing. Then again, I'm not getting either right off the bat.
Tell me, how is the Xbox One a piece of shit.
I got to play with a demo unit and the Kinect took x-ray photos of my dick and sent it to the NSA.

All they would need to win a lot of people back is a exclusive title that gets high praise from reviewers. Most people that buy consoles on release follow gaming pretty closely, but we are forgetting that this probably only accounts for 10 percent of gamers. Its more of localization stuff that they can't get done in 3 or so months that would kill the sales if they tried to ship them in the un-supported countries.
Maybe this is related to the rumoured RAM yield problems?
Shh GoDong, Microsoft says that we can't have the xbone, so it's probably for the best.
But the Kinect isn't mandatory anymore.
Yeah, he probably knows that, which is why he said "no-kinect version", as in, not having the kinect at all, which most likely increases the cost.
If it's not available before Christmas, that's a huuuuge advantage for the PS4 in Scandinavia, Russia, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
