• The Waiving of Rights to protect a company?

A recently posted image [in LMAO Pics] shows the Origin EULA when installing. At the very top of the EULA it states that you waive your right to a trial by jury. I personally feel that this cannot be right. You cannot waive a right given to you by the government. Eventhough you agreed to the EULA you should not be able do such a thing when it is a protected right. The company (EA) is trying to save its backs by protecting it from having to go to court in front of a jury. So, the question is: Should it be legal to waive your rights in lieu of a company court case
Its laughable, it has little to no meaning in court, its just to discourage the people not really smart in law to not sue them. Companies like EA can't just simply waive your rights, they are called rights for a reason.
im going to make the guys from EAGAMES sign a contract giving up there freedom and rights to me and be my slave for the entirety of there lives in other words, this is bs, as xxncxx said with the only purpose of making under educated people not go to court if they have a dispute
fuck if it actually means anything, so far i have almost no rights left and i own everything i have (soul included) to blizz games, not as if that means ANYTHING anywhere at all.
I'm sorry to report guys, that yes, this would likely hold up in court. You and a company can, in fact, come to an agreement to waive your rights in the case of a lawsuit. It's the sad truth.
Believe this was already tested in a situation, This doesn't hold at all as the company would be breaking basic rights held in the USA. It's like signing a contract with someone that grants them you being a slave. Yes you signed it but it's still against the law to have a slave. Same thing here.
