There’s trouble brewing in paradise: Café 8 ½, an Italian restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii decided to take a stand against Trump supporters this week while the Obama family vacationed nearby. The cafe’s owners posted a sign on their restaurant’s front door that read, “If you voted for Trump you cannot eat here! No Nazis.”
Unsurprisingly, the restaurant is now facing the wrath of Trump supporters across the internet. Hundreds of Trump supporters took to Yelp, Twitter, Facebook, TripAdvisor, and even Google images to pan the restaurant, many of them giving the establishment 1-star reviews along with commentary like, “The world does not need people like YOU. Where the hell is your democrat values?” [sic] and “You will be out of business this time next year, and America will be a better place. #Trump2016.”
Owners Robert and Jali Warner told Fox News that the sign was meant to be more harmless then it was interpreted, with Jali saying, “Robert just wants to express how much he doesn’t like Trump.” She went on to add that they weren’t looking to create trouble since, “there is enough trouble in the world.”
This isn’t the first time a dining establishment has decided to publicize its politics. Earlier this year an Iowa nightclub charged Trump supporters a higher entrance fee than Hillary Clinton supporters. In March, a steakhouse owner in Louisville received death threats so extreme after banning Trump from his restaurant that he was forced to lift the ban.
Calling trump voters nazis... classic

is this a meme yet? stating something that has nothing to do with trump winning and then saying "this is why trump won"

No, Hillary and the DNC's arrogance and inability to relate to the public is why Trump won. Please stop pushing this narrative.

I think it is quite obvious that it was a multitude of reasons.
For people supporting Trump, this was a legitimate problem people had with being lumped into being called a racist or sexist.
Fox played a video of the owner on their morning show
He basically said, wasn't meant to be political, I didn't even vote :v:

Question for you.
If those gosh darn liberals weren't such meanies, how many more electoral votes do you think Clinton would've got?
Cutting business in half makes no sense.
No, Hillary and the DNC's arrogance and inability to relate to the public is why Trump won. Please stop pushing this narrative.
Those are probably the same people as the ones that call trump voters nazis though...

Maybe enough to tip the scale, but not likely imo... then again who knows.
Combined with hillary being a scumfuck corrupt piece of shit though... it adds up.

Well how many electoral votes did Donald lose for "grab them by the pussy" or Clinton lose for Comey's reopening?
The world will never know, but we can discuss factors.

that post wasn't discussing factors lol. it was trying to present a opinion with no ground as proved by his "well I'm not sure..... maybe?" post you get after you call out something ridiculous

people getting called cuck, liberal, sjw for years before didn't make hillary win
because that narrative is bulllshit

don't know, but insulting your opponent's constituency is a sure fire way to make sure that they vote against you
Calling trump voters nazis... classic

Trump won because of the egregious oversight, complacency, and hubris, of the Democratic party.
On one hand, I like it because its a nice taste of your own medicine due to the fact that some of the GOP are pushing the FADA bill.
But on the other hand, this country is already divided enough.

yes, and that's a huge motivation especially when compared to the amount of fake news, bias, and other drivel that would solidify someone's decision to vote for trump
I think it is quite obvious that it was a multitude of reasons.

In the list of reasons why Donald Trump ultimately became the president of the United States, people being treated poorly for their position on the political compass ranks extremely low.
Out of the millions of people who voted for Trump, you honestly expect me to believe that was a major factor? It was a big enough problem to millions of people?
A vast majority of people aren't in on some weird internet fight or get into political arguments on the internet. The lens you are viewing this from is limited to the context of internet forums and extreme scenarios, it is not the whole picture. The truth is: One of the major factors was that most people who voted for Donald Trump did so because they felt the Democrat-led government had failed them and Trump seemed like someone who was enough of a wild card to actually change things. It's that simple. The media elevated him by giving him more screen time, and the DNC fucked up by being extremely out of touch.
Pushing this narrative of "Oh because people were mean to us so we showed them" is ridiculous. The people who gravitated towards Trump were gonna vote Trump regardless. Hurt feelings do not inform or change decisions like this.
On one hand, I like it because its a nice taste of your own medicine due to the fact that some of the GOP are pushing the FADA bill.

On one hand, you like normal everyday people in Hawaii not being able to eat at a certain restaurant because of Ted Cruz and a few GOPers pushing a bill that they may have not supported.
On the other, you display some intelligence realizing how counter-productive it is.
people getting called cuck, liberal, sjw for years before didn't make hillary win

cuck was never directed only towards liberals, liberals don't mind being called liberals, and sjw is a meme that doesn't happen off the internet. trump supporters are actually being called nazis in person and often to their faces.

well when you have people going around saying Hail Trump, it makes sense
tho not everybody is in an internet arguments and sees all the stuff we see, a lot of people just thought Trump was the wild card America needed and believed draining the swamp was an actual thing, now that's a factor
overall from an outsiders perspective, it just feels like a solidification that the US is damn well ignorant
When your candidate calls the others "A basket of deplorables" at a rally, then yes it IS factor. One of many.
yes, and that's a huge motivation especially when compared to the amount of fake news, bias, and other drivel that would solidify someone's decision to vote for trump
it's not so much solidifying a decision as it is motivating to actually get out and vote. a lot of people in areas that consistently vote one way or another don't bother voting, but when you call half the country a basket of deplorables then half the country is gonna do what they can do to be sure you don't succeed in your endeavors.

she didn't call half the country a basket of deplorables
that fact that so many people in this thread are saying this in this thread proves my point about

People that were already gonna vote for him. Shit like healthcare premiums skyrocketing right before elections, our southern border, isis, and jobs is what allowed him to win. Russian boogeymen or the left trashing the right prolly did virtually nothing.
Trump won because of the egregious oversight, complacency, and hubris, of the Democratic party.
Don't forget that Trump campaigned far more and better than Clinton ever did. So it isn't like Trump's victory can be all accounted on the shortcomings of the Democrat Party.
No, Hillary and the DNC's arrogance and inability to relate to the public is why Trump won. Please stop pushing this narrative.
Consequently, people were pushed from Hilary to Trump because of this narrative that some people took to heart, ie Trump is the second coming of Hitler, sort of a boy-cry-wolf effect
When your candidate calls the others "A basket of deplorables" at a rally, then yes it IS factor. One of many.
except she never said just that. when people read only headlines, thats a factor.
except she never said just that. when people read only headlines, thats a factor.
she used those exact words to describe a large number of trumps constituents
