• President Obama Calls Ongoing Cargo Bomb Scare a 'Credible Terrorist Threat'
Suspicious packages from Yemen intercepted in Dubai and England tested positive for explosives, according to President Obama, addressing the nation Friday afternoon about what he now calls "a credible terror threat." The president said the devices were possibly targeting Jewish community groups in the Chicago area. He vowed to enhance screening of cargo planes in the U.S., and said he had been in touch with the president of Yemen. An intelligence report that al Qaeda in Yemen may have shipped an explosive device to Chicago led to an international search of cargo planes carrying packages to the United States from Yemen today. Authorities in Newark and Philadelphia searched UPS and FedEx cargo jets. US fighter jets also escorted Emirates Air flight 201 from Dubai into John F. Kennedy airport in New York City this afternoon. According to a statement from NORAD, the plane was determined to be "an aircraft of interest."
Source: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-scrambles-intel-reports-bombs-cargo-planes/story?id=12004110 :ohdear:
Good to see our country's intelligence system is finally working.
Well, I'm glad people are doing their jobs.
Well, I'm glad people are doing their jobs.
For once at least.
Goddamnit Michael Bay, stop trying to film using civilian aircraft
Yeah, because we hear about every single security threat that our government faces and handles adequately, and they've really fucked up so much in the past. What gives you guys the right to be cynical and criticizing of our intelligence programs?
Seems like Obama is riling up the war on terror machine.
Seems like Obama is riling up the war on terror machine.
Addressing what could have been a national incident is "riling up the war on terror machine". Go back to 9/11 conspiracy threads.
Seems like Obama is riling up the war on terror machine.
Shukaido can you please leave your conspiracy theories at the door.
I'll just sit back and watch, I have my doubts of anything happening though.

Also, the first amendment gives me the right.
Its obvious that this consistent string of failed terrorists acts in the past year are just perpetuating the idea that we need things like the PATRIOR Act that take away rights from the average u.s. citizen.
Its obvious that this consistent string of failed terrorists acts in the past year are just perpetuating the idea that we need things like the PATRIOR Act that take away rights from the average u.s. citizen.
you do realize that there are the same amount of failed terror attacks before 9/11 even occurred?
Good to see our country's intelligence system is finally working.
When it's working, you don't hear anything at all.
Its obvious that this consistent string of failed terrorists acts in the past year are just perpetuating the idea that we need things like the PATRIOR Act that take away rights from the average u.s. citizen.
I love the PATRIOR Act. It's my very favorite.
Shukaido can you please leave your conspiracy theories at the door.
That's not a conspiracy. You people need to stop calling everything not blatantly apparent at a glance a conspiracy.
That's not a conspiracy. You people need to stop calling everything not blatantly apparent at a glance a conspiracy.
He's trolled us in the past before with "conspiracy theory" threads, mostly about 9/11 and terrorism.
He's trolled us in the past before with "conspiracy theory" threads, mostly about 9/11 and terrorism.
And claiming Obama is faking bomb threats so he can stay in Iraq to get more oil money sounds like your typical conspiracy to me.
you do realize that there are the same amount of failed terror attacks before 9/11 even occurMred?
There's been 3 herp derply botched terrorist attacks within the last 12 months, prior to 911 to my knowledge most terrorist attacks were so thoroughly planned that they, you know, happened. Not to mention, with an abundance of public criticism of the act already, who's to say that the increase in failed attacks is nothing more than a hoax to mislead the general populace that the PATRIOT Act is necessary.
Yeah, because we hear about every single security threat that our government faces and handles adequately, and they've really fucked up so much in the past. What gives you guys the right to be cynical and criticizing of our intelligence programs?
I don't think the people who complain get this. I assume many many plots are foiled in the early stages of their planning and they don't make the news. Intelligence services heavily rely on secrecy to get their jobs done, you are not going to hear about every time they stop a possible attack etc. The only time this sort of stuff makes the news is when either A) they fail to do their job or B) they stop something so late in the planning / execution of a plot that it makes the news because they do something ovbious (like stop an aircraft from leaving an airport while they remove things). You would have to be batshit insane to believe some theories...
Oh and to the people who think all conspiracies are bs, google MK-ULTRA. That one alone should convince you that thinking is naive.
Oh and to the people who think all conspiracies are bs, google MK-ULTRA. That one alone should convince you that thinking is naive.
That is not a conspiracy that is a well known US government project which I believe they do not like to talk about but acknowledge that it happened.

I had enough of you. You can crawl back in your hole. The light of reality is too harsh for your eyes.
Sounds kinda convoluted.
Care to elaborate as to why?
Care to elaborate as to why?
Because every dumbass, every person with brown skin that we see photographed on our news channels are somehow government agents that perpetrate phony terror attacks.
That is not a conspiracy that is a well known US government project which I believe they do not like to talk about but acknowledge that it happened.
Right, because around the time it happened, the government openly was honest about the 'project'. Apply the same logic to the tuskeegee experiments and it falls apart.
Right, because around the time it happened, the government openly was honest about the 'project'. Apply the same logic to the tuskeegee experiments and it falls apart.
That does not make it a conspiracy theory, it makes it a secret government project which at the time was kept quiet. A conspiracy theory is something along the lines of "Bush planned 9/11 as an excuse to invade Afghanistan". You see, this comprises of a theory which is not known to be true, or untrue and is therefore a conspiracy theory.
Because every dumbass, every person with brown skin that we see photographed on our news channels are somehow government agents that perpetrate phony terror attacks.
That's a moronic way to look at it. You have to be more realistic about this otherwise your blowing smoke and not really proving anything.
ShukaidoX is a troll or a paranoid schizophrenic. You choose.
