I just keep coming back to this game, so much fun.
Best game in the fucking world, just because of shit like this.
Now I'm sad I traded in mine ages ago
Now I'm sad I traded in mine ages ago
You can run most modern games, buy it for PC in the next Steam sale.
You can run most modern games, buy it for PC in the next Steam sale.
Tried the demo So much lag
That's not a good sign since this is one of the most optimized games I've ever played considering how big and beautiful it is
Now I'm sad I have windows XP.
Ah I love doing stupid stuff like this Still play JC2 quite often just to piss about
I never finished doing the JC2 story because I was too busy attaching planes to the ground and just fucking around in general :v:
I really wish this game had mod support.
this game crashed my computer when i first tried to play it i might need to give it another try and see if i can figure out the problem
I really wish this game had mod support.
It kind of does, the best thing to do is get a mod that unlocks every vehicle in the buy menu and get a trainer.
I ran the wiki that has a ton of documentation. Sadly, it was hosted on 000webhost, got spam ridden, and I think it's not up anymore. It had pretty much any info you needed to mod the game. :( Edit: I managed to restore the hosting from 000webhost. If I can manage to get the wiki data, I'd be willing to give someone the domain ( jc2wiki.info ) and all data. The site forwards to a site that originally hosted bolopatch, but you can still access the wiki if you know the subdiretory, although it's not restored yet. http://jc2wiki.info/index.php/Main_Page It's mostly usable.
It was a lot better with bolopatch, which unfortunately, never got updated
this game crashed my computer when i first tried to play it
Sorry man, but there's no such thing as "crashed my computer" unless you were using a sledgehammer to discipline it.
Sorry man, but there's no such thing as "crashed my computer" unless you were using a sledgehammer to discipline it.
There's always the possibility. Although yeah most claims of "this game crashed my PC" are mostly other causes. JC2 never crashed my computer but it sure has crashed many times.
It was a lot better with bolopatch, which unfortunately, never got updated
Bolopatch was updated a while ago: http://www.justcause2mods.com/mods/other/Gameplay/BOLOPatch-4.00-%28for-v1.0.0.2%29/
This game is beautiful, it's optimised to perfection.
oh jesus christ the second i saw "bye mom" i laughed hard
Brb re-buying game.
There's always the possibility. Although yeah most claims of "this game crashed my PC" are mostly other causes. JC2 never crashed my computer but it sure has crashed many times.
Software can't "crash your computer", it doesn't have enough hardware access.
Has BOLOpatch been fixed yet?
I keep trying to download Just Cause 2 but it keeps saying the server timed out.
This game is not that optimized. It's very GPU intensive.
My five year old GPU can run JC2 at max settings.
I never finished doing the JC2 story because I was too busy attaching planes to the ground and just fucking around in general :v:
JC2 had a story? Whoa
Software can't "crash your computer", it doesn't have enough hardware access.
Software can crash your computer if it handles memory like a chimp handles faeces. It it causes overheating due to stressing a component too much (invest in better cooling in that case). Or if it makes a call to your OS that causes the kernel to shit itself (BSoD/ Kernel panics). Just because something doesn't have hardware access doesn't mean it can't cause a system to fail.
87% completion and loving it.
Oh really? How come my old Geforce GT 220 can barerly run it on medium? It's impossible to get playable framerate in the cities with my GTX 560 Ti (on max atleast). I hope you are not just running around at the desert.
What are you doing I can max it (no SSAO though) on a GTX280 and get playable (40+fps) framerates
91% biatches. I'll have 98 once i get all the blue collectibles and races done.
