New thread, keep it going.
Thinking of laying an order from a reputable seller, and I want to contact him on what the return address and packaging will be like first. When I send him a message do I have to use the PGP block thing?
Also I suppose as you place the order you just trust them with your personal shipping info?
You don't have to use PGP, to me it seems like a precaution incase the admins decide to snoop on you. The seller won't put a return address on their envelope. And yes, you have to trust them with your address. That's kind of a given.
(Read below for better advice, although PGP is not /required/ (depending on the seller) it's still recommended.)
@ the quote above
I have always gotten a return address. Usually the return address is a false address (sometimes to a fake business), unless the seller is a huge dumb ass and puts his real address. It should ALWAYS be printed and NOT hand written address.
IMO... it would be wise to encrypt all communication, incriminating or not. You should for a question like that.
Sellers don't want to just put out what their package will look like before arriving to your door. They will probably think your LE for asking what the package will look like.

You should also not describe the package in your review, just say it was stealthy or something.
jesus lunarwalrus can't you be in the slightest creative with the thread title?
How many of you have used this?
None of us have. Stop asking. :tinfoil:

Excuse me...?

I'll ask as many fucking times as I want. And this was the first.
It was a joke. A decent number of us, it's pretty legit. Just be safe when you use it. (Look at seller ratings, try not to leave too obvious of a papertrail, etc etc)
Fair enough
-snip-
first post on here in a looooong time WUSSUP. I'm a gold member lol? as long as you maintain secure habits while accessing SR, and purchase BTC anonymously, there's really almost no chance anything will go wrong. use brain, keep lips sealed.
Got scammed 3 times because of finalizing early. Ordering stuff from The Silk Road while drunk is scratched from my to-do list.
Friend gets a batch of MDMA every couple of months, has no problems and its delivered to uni accomodation.
How do prices compare to street prices? Last I checked, they were a fair bit higher. The fluctuation of bitcoin prices didn't seem to help.
Though I suppose it's worth it to pay a little more to be able to trust the product you're purchasing.
Well this depends on what street prices are in your local area and how good deals you get/how good connections you have as well as which vendor on SR you buy from. But there are very good offers on SilkRoad (especially since it has grown to become massive which means more competition).
That and the purity of the product is generally higher than what you would find on the street if you buy smart and read the reviews (it creates more transparency which forces dealers to better themselves and not cheat their customers with heavily cut shit saying it's pure, something only made possible with an internet-based drug market).
Also if you buy domestically there's less chance of getting caught than when actually buying drugs IRL since the customs only check international packages. But depending on where you live, where you order from and how strict customs are in your country you can probably order internationally and be fairly safe.
The prices I pay are very similar to street prices but the quality is way higher. You just pay extra for shipping (which stops being a problem when you order more)

You can find good deals on weed, for an oz+, but usually price reflects quality. If you want top shelf weed, expect to to pay a bit over $300/oz including fee's and such.
MDMA is the hottest market IMO. its very risky though if you order internationally, but you can get the REAL GOOD DEALS. The MDMA is generally very high quality than what you'd see on the streets (or maybe i just get bad mdma). You're gonna pay probably higher than normal price if you order domestic USA.
Also, the amount of bitcoin you need to buy something on SR will go up or down depending on the price of bitcoin. The price of bitcoin shouldn't really matter if you aren't really holding onto your coin.
Fair enough
It's unfair. One time I got so high when I purchased something it turned out I was actually the vendor and got put in an envelope and got delivered half way around the world.
Sounds like a trip, man
mate of mine got a gram of 98% pure MDMA off the silkroad for about £30, think he got some DMT too IIRC it came disguised as a fish food sample or something. Yeah, just go with the trusted sellers and you'll likely be fine.
How do you figure out what your bitcoins are going to be worth when they fluctuate so violently ?

You don't.
But for the moment they are rising, and will probably keep doing so until ASICs start adding a fuckload of new coins into circulation.

do you have any idea when that might happen?

This article was made almost a month ago, so I'm assuming they're slowly being released to the customers right now: http://bitcoinmagazine.com/asicminer-starts-hashing/
Although the ASIC mining market is unfolding much more slowly than many of us had predicted, it looks like the next two months will be the time that the new machines finally start to come online en masse.
Guess I'm stuck using real money for my expenses
How do you figure out what your bitcoins are going to be worth when they fluctuate so violently ?
Use www.mtgox.com to find out how much bitcoins are going for.
When you have money in your SR account, you can set it to display in dollars and not bitcoins. When the price of bitcoin goes up, so does the amount in your SR wallet.

ok my bad, still, it was damn nice didn't make you gurn too much and hardly any comedown, at least compared to stuff cut with speed.
No matter how many people say it's safe I still don't feel like it is :tinfoil:
