It’s called “Shezow.” The show follows the adventures of a 12-year-old boy named Guy who uses a magic ring to transform himself into a crime-fighting girl. When guy says the magic words “you go girl!” he becomes Shezow, wearing a purple skirt and cape, as well as pink gloves and white boots. It will air on the Hub Network. Here come the angry soccer moms
I don't really see the point...
I'm pretty sure this is almost exactly the plot to a webcomic.
Didn't know Wonder Showzen was renewed for a season 3
yeah hi I'm for gay/trans rights and all but please no
well, that's one way to introduce the concept
Word Girl could kick Shezow's ass.
Sounds more like a cross dresser than a transsexual.
The premise of the superhero is just doused in pointless political correctness and points trying to be made. What a shit idea.
theres nothing transsexual about this, its just cross-dressing played for laughs not a new concept by any means
I've heard about this before. Unless it's explicitly stated somewhere I haven't seen, I'm pretty sure this isn't about trans/LGBT or anytying, I think they're just making a really weird joke for their premise. The thing will probably be pretty average once you get over the premise, I'm guessing.
Seems like a pointless gimmick, but you never know.
...who is the target audience? Who will actually watch this?
i like how they actually named the protagonist "Guy" for a concept like this
Ranma 1/2?
Children
Children's Network Launches Transsexual Superhero Show

doesn't necessarily mean that children will watch this
There's no reason to have a problem with this.
well its a caricature, not an exploration of LGBT themes or a "step in the right direction".
When guy says the magic words “you go girl!”
ahahahahaha anyway this show is a bad idea because it gives the impression all transexuals have superpowers, while in fact less than 45% develop them, and that's after a successful operation
oh god the girl form has the guy voice
theres nothing transsexual about this, its just cross-dressing played for laughs not a new concept by any means
Pretty much this, It's just drag. Someone must've thought "I know, how about we make a show where a boy becomes a superhero, but he's been given GIRL superpowers, lol, how ironic!"
Yeah this isn't exactly an original concept
Yep, here we go. All aboard the conservative comment train!
I found this out a couple months ago, there's already porn of the character. Fuckin' internet. [sub]No I did not look that up on purpose, I found it by accident and learned of the character's existence this way.[/sub]
Great, now kids will believe that all transsexuals have superpowers...
This is the same network that shows Dan Vs, a show that is aimed at adults. Is it really a crime for a channel to show programming targeting at adults as well as children? While the Hub does show family friendly programming, it does cater to adults as well.
When guy says the magic words “you go girl!” he becomes Shezow
bahahaha
